Very nice.
price!. Free tea, coffee, rice and pasta was wonderful! Staff were all really friendly and the entire place had an easygoing atmosphere. Key entry just to get into the building itself at night, plus cameras everywhere felt secure. Location was amazing, just a short walk down the street to Southern Cross station, easy even if you have luggage to cart there in the morning.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I left my eftpos card there and when I phoned the next day they said they would post it back to me. Haven't got it yet so will update this if it doesn't come through. Also I slept well.Nice and close to train station.
Pasta, rice, coffee for free Store room all day for the lugagge Position
in the city Big room.
Friendly Atmosphere, free simply food (pasta, rice, coffee, tea...), free luggage room.
Facilities generally good though could be cleaner. Staff were friendly.
Clean and numerous showers.
the location, the price.
Handy locagion.
It was right in the middle of town, the staff were friendly, unfortunately that's the only good points to my stay.
good location; close to the public transport as well as airport shuttle.
Location
Toilets and bathroom clean overall.
Walking distance to Southern Cross Station.
Location nearby Southern Cross Station.
The staff was friendly.
Friendly staff.
smelt a little but that was fine.
no comment.
Room 206 was terribly nosy because of the trams and metro outside, passing just at the heigh of the window;
What about isolating?.
there isn't enough electric plug into the room.
nothing.
Huge, lots of people.
shower & toilet facilities.
Lift..... Someone opened our door at a random our of the nigh... so if you've opened your door from the inside (i.e: to let a fellow guest back in the room after going to the toilet) the doors do not seem to automatically lock again - so just check that it's locked afterwards. Also was fairly noisy with people partying up the halls all night, but that's to be expected.
The stairs! Will be staying there again but this time with 2 heavy suitcases. Not looking forward to lugging them up the stairs.
Unpolite people in the room Fridges too full(should be more fridges for
the guests) Toilet could be more clean Kitchen could be more clean.
Kitchen was a Bit Small, so did the 8 beds dormitory.
One of the noisiest hostels I've ever stayed in. Street noise from trams and trains was in incredible and only blocked out by the best earplugs. Just too noisy.
Some people from staff are not so helpful and could at least learn to smile or being friendly.
Also very expansive for a dorm but it is australia.
no hot water (repairing).
Very very noisy, i.e. traffic, trains and trams from outside.
Floorboards through building, so very noisy from shoes and in particular heels clomping throughout the night, especially on the weekends.
The cleaners came in and out about 5 times during the day when I was
sleeping and they played very loud dance music from 11.30am!!!! I needed
to sleep so I would not stay there again!!.
It was noisy, the bathroom smelled really bad, the room was ill equipped for a double room, and it was really noisy. Sorry folks, but wont be staying there again.
they have several bathrooms in each floor, but not all working (lack of hot water); some problems with invoices. General impression is quite positive.
Noise from streets and from guests
Noise in the kitchen and some kitchen utensils were dirty.
The hostel signage is not obvious;found after few round walking around, suggest may add on word like up above the 711store may help. The heater wasnt working while the night is super cold during the winter.
Poor standard of cleanliness.
The noise. From our room we heard all the noise from the city and particularly the train every 5 minutes during the night. The sound isolation is very poor !.
The room was still extremely basic (prison style), lacking basic facilities like a chair or a table.
There was a funny smell in the room, the fan was not working and the pillows looked used
The shared bathroom was disgusting (urinal smell).
Paying 100 AUD per night for this room is like being robbed.
