I recently spent 5 nights in a Studio Room at The Manor in order to attend a conference at the Brisbane Convention Centre and was very happy with my stay. The room was cosy, clean and well appointed and perfect for a solo traveller or couple. Bed was super comfy and I had no issues at all with noise from the city or from other guests. Water pressure in the shower was strong, and water hot. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and ready to greet me every day with a smile and to answer any q.
all reviews » We liked the location and ambience, convenience and style of The Manor Apartment Hotel. The architecture of the building is both charming and of heritage style which appeals to us. Being just out of the shopping precinct, next to the historic GPO and a short walk to Central Station, makes it perfectly located. Really helpful staff. The apartment was comfortable and a reasonable size. Bed was very comfy. Staff were welcoming and very obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Ray in the breakfast room was very helpful. Location was excellent - just a short walk to Queen Street Mall. This would be our preferred accommodation venue on our next trip to Brisbane. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room ( 2 bedroom apartment with queen beds ) was very well set out and comfortable. The location was perfect for our needs. I liked the fact that the apartment had two separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The hotel rooms are modern but keeping the charm of the old building. The location was fantastic. The lay out of the room was different but pleasant, given that it was the smallest room they have. There was everything we needed and more and it was so very quiet at all times, both inside and outside of the hotel, hardly believable for a any city room let alone a major city. It´s a mix between apartments and hotel. Central location, downtown,Breakfast includeded, good quality,assorted breads,boliled eggs, cheese,ham,yoghurt. Big and confortable room. Manor hotel has strict rules agains noisy guests and they warn.It´s a good example for others hotels.So, quiet nights. Definitely be back!. The 2 bedroom apartment had 2 bathrooms and was very well set up, especially for longer stays, given the huge number of cupboards. Kitchen was compact but still had a full size fridge and stovetop. Location next to GPO was perfect for inner city activities. Loved this place, such a good location being half a block from Queen st Mall, everything was clean and neat. The price, while not 'cheap' was well worth paying. Apartment was serviced on alternate days and while the bed was made and the towels changed, the bathroom could have done with a bit of a wipe over. The shower was very small and would be uncomfortable for anyone of "generous" proportion. The car parking we thought might be a bit difficult when we booked and before we arrived but on arrival we found it very easy to navigate. We also found it useful to be able to go into and out of the car park during the 24 hour period without having to repay. No free internet. Staff friendly and helpful, but works from 08:00 a.m to 20:00 hs,so limitted time. Wifi costs extra. There were plenty of pillows, but all the same, so the "just right" one one could not be found. No negatives....all positive!!! We'll stay there again when in Brisbane. Rush hour traffic cannot be avoided. The toilet in the laundry section, at time wouldn't stop running. No car park on site but ok to get to and from. Staff helped out with getting gear to room. Cheap and unnessary fabric flowers that gave a "tacky" look. Would be better without them. Serviced every 2nd day but mid-week, the staff only changed the towels, loo paper and soap - no vacuum or sweep of floor). We would have done it ourselves but there was no broom or vacuum in the unit - otherwise excellent. Leaving could have stayed a month !. Only one it would be nice to have bacon with the breakfast instead of the ham. There's nothing we don't like. Nothing. Know that the parking is not on site first. There are kitchen utensils but no plates. staff seemed a little wary on 1st approach air con was hard to manage any cost to WiFi should be minimal. Inconvenient to location of parking with heavy luggage. No iPod dock on our room, but I understand some apartments do have them. No view. Off site parking expensive internet. nothing. No parking. Could use a vending machine for drinks & snacks. Digital TV reception was poor. Breakfast could be better, and perhaps varied. Shower - water flow difficult to adjust. TV a bit too far away from bed. the only down point was the poor shower head design had to run round to get wet.

Travelling information

Located 20 kilometres from the international and domestic airports. Approximately an AUD 35 taxi ride or AUD 14 by AirTrain (discounted AirTrain vouchers at AUD 12 available from reception for your return journey - please enquire). Travelling from the Gold Coast on the Pacific Motorway, as approaching the city, stay in the centre left lane and take the Elizabeth Street exit then down to Creek Street turn left and left again into Queen Street. The hotel is located next to the GPO.
