the Staff were super efficient, we mentioned the TV in the bedroom didn't work. Next morning a brand new one was installed and set up for all channels. They had the new towels we asked for,ready for us when we got back late at night, and helped at every opportunity. couldn't fault them. Polite and efficient. Fantastic large apartment, clean etc, excellent modern kitchen,great beds, comfy lounge furniture, amazing views with floor ceiling windows, quiet rooms, good gym and swimming pool that saw the sun. Absolutely perfect. Will book again and cannot see why it was not rated 10!.
all reviews » the view from our room was simply stunning. the facilities within our accommodation were generous and excellent. all staff were most helpful. the location is superb-walking distance to the river, the Botanic Gardens, the CBD and an amazing range of top restaurants. Comfortable, good location The dvd player didn't work but staff immediately replaced the unit. The first room we were given was on the lower floors and dark (south facing)being claustrophobic we asked for a change, which was done. Thank You. Central location, close to Queen St Mall & CBD, & public transport 1BR apt. was good, clean & comfortable. Good facilities..wash. machine dryer, dishwasher.. bathroom needs better lighting. very helpful & efficient staff. the friendliness and curtesy of the reception staff appartment was spacious and light location, central to CBD, shops, transport, surprisingly appartment was very quiet appartment daily and linen changed daily-all to very high standard. I always stay at the Oaks Festival Towers. I really like the location. I think its pretty good value for money, perfect for a weekend in the city. When Ive stayed there with my kids, they love the pool. 1. Within CBD with all facilities nearby. 2. Very clean with big balcony 3. Daily serviced apartments 4. 24 hrs. reception for check-in. 5. Safety and Security are maintained. Easy walk to Queens Street mall and Southbank where we went to a show. Room were beautiful and loved the balcony which you can have enclosed or opened up. The apartment was very quiet during the night. We loved the balcony and how it had the windows that we could open or close. We loved everything about the room. Location fabulous. No option for free cancellation before 24 hrs. if booked through letsbookhotel.com. 2. letsbookhotel.com does not mention that during booking. 3. 100% room rent plus 2% extra are deducted instantly from credit card after booking through letsbookhotel.com and that is non-refundable under any circumstance. 4. No free parking facility is available. 5. No wifi internet is available. ?? what is there not to like??. the decor of the room was 'cold' to me. I think the colour was very stark and uninviting. It felt more like an office rather than an apartment. Staff friendly. Booking in was stressful as the guy who booked us in was a bit vague with his instructions (eg: what to do with the car while registering - we're unfamiliar with Brisbane and you can't just leave it outside). The smell coming from the garbage shut on every level we went onto. We also had two friends and their families staying at the same time and this was also their concern. One of our friends had to move to another floor because the bedding in their unit was not cleaned from last guest. No room service. We were surprised at how much noise we could here from the streets below. Not only sirens but peoples voices travelled louder than we expected. Bathroom very dark. Needed light over sink. More reabags and milk. The corridors should be clean better. The heater in our room didn't seem to work properly, or we didn't know how to work it, but we weren't there all the time to worry about it. the lounge needs to be up graded. The long waits for the lifts as one of the lifts was not working. The saucepans in our room werent cleaned properly, our couch had stains on it. Having to pay an extra $30 to have the bed split into two. The room could do with a paint job, it is starting to look tired. cost of parking, My mother purchased the room for my 21st birthday, she often stays in the city for work, she mentioned she would stay at Oaks from now on if the parking was not so expensive. Car parking fee. Wi-fi needs to be made available in the price. there wasn't anything we didn't like. Wifi connection too expensive. Front desk staff can be a little officious, having to leave passport with them while using pool facility as our room was not ready was OTT, as I had booked and paid for the room online, you already had my creditcard details. This is normally not a big deal, but it was the manner in which this was requested. The initial visitor parking gets jammed up when alot of people are trying to book in all at once and the lifts are very hot and long wait times. No sun loungers around the pool. No pool towels and weren't informed prior to arrival. Room did not have black out blinds so very light in bedroom. Air conditioning not working properly. Nil. 12 AUD for 2 hrs internet connection... Lack of parking in order to check in and obtain parking permit. Check-out is slow. Takes a long time to get a lift at check-out time. Must then wait for a staff member to work the lift to the car park. Having to walk down 37 flights of stairs with my 79 year old mum at 3.30am on our first night because of fire alarm!. I couldn't seem to get the tv working in the room When I got out of the lift I could smell rubbish Where the kettle and toaster lives seems to be a bit unsafe The door lifts up and falls If these things were fixed It would rate so much better as the room really is quite lovely And those things didnt bother me greatly but prob would bother others. Lack of direction to your room when you got out of the lift. Just a little confusing when the doors look the same, but you got used to it. it was hard to find- the entrance does not stand out for drivers- we had to circle the block 3 times to try and find the parking. No windows in the bedroom room 3502 and the lifts were a little tricky. Nothing I couldn't get used to though. Very small balcony. Room did not have standard channels to access. Slow escalators. Leisure area and foyer and apartments a little soulless, could do with some plants etc.
