The facilities were beautiful, clean and exactly what we wanted for our weekend away. the concierge was always friendly and helpful when we needed help to find somewhere we were looking for and great meal places to go to and when we came in from our day out the staff were there to greet us and even offered a bottle of water as they seen it was hot outside. Everything about our stay at the hilton was fantastic right down to checking us in early because they could see we arrived early after a lon.
all reviews » What a lovely hotel, its location is centre of Brisbane and the rooms are huge. My husband and myself stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The thing that absolutely sold me on this hotel was the service. From our arrival the check in staff and concierge were so helpful. Can't think of a time recently when I have received such consistently good customer service from an establishment!! The bedding was so soft and cossie and your snuggled right into the donna, had a fantastic night sleep.  Normall. I am a Hilton Diamond member # 379781944 and been a very committed patron.The Hilton brand is good and the only problem or disappointment is the lack of consistency in customer service. I will remain a loyal Hilton Member but will not stay at the Brisbane facility unless I know the staff on duty or if I don't check in myself as a man of colour then maybe I would. Well I've never really stayed at top hotels before, but everything about my stay was the most enjoyable and pleasant experience. From our really late check in, to the Staff that helped me with our breakfast being delivered to my room, I thank you all. The service and manners from all the staff was exceptional. I would definitely stay there again!. I liked that breakfast was included in the room - the buffet was excellent and the staff very helpful. Complete contrast to the experience at the Hilton Melbourne South Wharf this week which is chaotic and extortionate for what you get. General service of the hotel was excellent - laundry, postal, concierge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Loved the facilities, we made use of the gym and the pool. I was very impressed with the cooking classes for the kids holiday programme - they looked like they had fun. The rooms were very clean and comfortable-temp was managed well.Bed was very comfortable.Nice and quiet to retreat to after a busy schedule.Very central position to access City mall and Southbank restautants,convention centre.a great stay. The menu had a really great variety of choice and the range and choice of wines were excellent and for such a high standard of hotel, quite reasonably priced. The room was gorgeous and very relaxing. The bed I slept in would have been the most comfortable that I had slept in. It was like sinking into a cloud. I am vision imparired the hotel staff made sure I could get to where I needed to so safely. Would stay again. The staff at the restaurant were very professional. We really appreciated the offer of tasting the wine so we could choose the right bottle with our meal, and also the choice recommendation of the waitress. Even as an elite diamond member you are treated as a refugee and really felt a lot of discrimination as a man of dark colour.In all my time staying in Australian Hotels this has been my first experience like this.When you ask for the General Manager's email you get his assistant's and the same front office manager's card even after asking to speak to a more senior member of staff. Nothing. Quality of the food in room service was a lot poorer than the restaurant. Both the spaghetti bolognese and curry clearly looked like they had just been put in a microwave. Not very good. Uncertainty felt when travelling up to the11th floor in the glass lift,but happy to challenge this feeling of uncertainty to overcome it. Only missing a robe in room for mornings and after shower. For me the lighting was ambient and found this a bit difficult. Don't trust house keeping. We left $200 worth of Nespresso coffee pods behind and guess what? They we not there when I rang up and asked about it. The housekeeping supervisor was rude and not helpful and stright out lied to me. Has really put me off staying there again even though I am a Hilton card holder. A bit expensive for a solo traveller, but then that's the norm!!. The rooms will need to be revamped as the standard didn't reflect the standard we had hoped to be in when we stayed at the Hilton. there were a few isues with the billing side of thngs not a huge problem but was a little imbarssing for me and my partener. also the internet in the room was very poor couldnt even load a web page. N/A. A bit unpersonal. The bar area and service in the bar were not to a standard that I would have expected for a hotel of that rating. For what it is, the rates are very ambiguous. I prefer a breakfast buffet where I can serve myself. the new layout for breakfast is a hybrid of self serve & full service. That we couldn't afford to stay longer!. Breakfast was a bit boring.. The selection of the food was exactly the same over a period of four days and with the same order. I found the internet to be a bit expensive. Mini Bar overpriced Wi Fi should be free. The food was awful. My chips were overcooked, a couple burnt. My burger did not have the aioli as detailed on the menu, and the avocado was not ripe - so hard I could not eat it. For a $28 meal I would have expected a much higher standard. I couldn't get a smoking room and to smoke I had to go down 21 flights, walk across the hotel, go down another 6 flights and walk out the back past the concierge. Just Luke warm shower (nearly cold) Woken by house keeping at 8am. No complaints. book your airport transfer well in advance, i had to get a taxi they said it would cost 40$ but it cost 60$. Drinks were watered down very much so. We would have preferred better seating in our room for instance a "proper couch" for 2 people to relax on. We had a chaise type chair thing which was not suitable for sitting on as a couple !!. The parking charges are ridiculous $55 per night, it is almost a deal breaker to stay again. No convenient free wi fi. Every hotel in the world has free wi fi, get with the times Hilton. Air conditioner rattled all night. Shower was hot and cold. Very average standard fixtures, shower head kept pointing to the left wall, very frustrating.Low grade accessories too, no toothbrush, no comb. I judge exec roombs by detail. Overpriced for an old hotel with an average make over, small rooms for executive suites hardly worth $300 a night, more like $200 max. There is nothing not to like. The flowers in the lobby. I love Orientals but they needed to be changed as they are very heavy in pollen, and the smell was very strong. Expensive. Long time to answer the phone. Some parts a little dated. Internet connection was not so easy. Tennis ball often fallen into the street :). Room smelt of stale tobacco smoke. Room allocated wasn't available by 2pm. We had arrived at hotel midday to find room not ready. We were told it would be an hour. We had lunch until 2.30 and it still wasn't ready. Reluctantly they upgraded us to an executive room allowing us immediate access. I would have liked an extra two towels in the room. two I feel wasn't enoug. A few more sachets of milk as I do enjoy my cuppa.
