  From the minute you get out of the taxi and see a small sign saying Nguyen Shack , you realise you have left the tourist area behind and arrived in the real Mekong Delta. I dont normally bother reviewing places but for my husband and I it really was a highlight in our 3 weeks in Vietnam. To sum it up : The owner Tao (hope spellings right)is an ama... what people say » zing lady who's main idea is to let us see the real people of the Mekong along with the main local attractions. Then we get to go a little deeper with - It's a breathtaking location by the river. Staying here you're up for a cozy, relaxed, very personalized stay. The huts are simple but charming, comfortable, very clean and you have stunning views over the river. Theu - the owner - ensures you have a great stay and a fantastic experience with the locals. The price includes a boat-trip down the river; a visit to (what's left of) the biggest floating market in Can Tho; a bicycle ride around the village where you get the chance to interact with

  Bungalow rooms are lovely. Staff are fabulous. Breakfast a bit boring but in saying that the hotel is so cheap there is no reason to complain. - Those who wants to enjoyed a regular hotel best is to be in downtown but if you like to stay local with comfort enjoy this stay !!!

  Hotel Xoai is an excellent hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful from the start and the lobby has lots of information about what to do, where to eat and how to get around. We stayed in a budget double abd despite what other reviews gave said we found it perfectly sized. It was bigger than rooms in Hong Kong and a LOT cheaper! It's only sho... what people say » rt walk to the river, near lots of places to eat and shop. We also took their floating market tour which we really enjoyed. Thank you so much for our - Staff were very welcoming, friendly and full of advice! They helped us book onwards travel as well which was great. Room was comfortable and had plenty of space. Equipped with ac, computer, and free tea and coffee. Room and bathroom were very clean. Location was pretty good - it was a bit of a walk to good food areas but we didn't mind. We booked the 3hr floating market trip with them and found it reasonably priced - our guide spoke a little English but was full of character.
