  We arrived to the most enthusiastic welcome from the bubbly girl on reception who informed us we had been upgraded. We had the vip3 room on the 8th floor which had the most gorgeous rooftop balcony with an outdoor spa/shower, fishpond, plants. We took the tour offered by the hotel of the local floating market and it was outstanding and well worth ... what people say » the $20 per person. Our tour guide Johnny was very informative, friendly and had excellent English. We loved our stay at Kim Lan, and would recommend - Really nice choice for your stay in can tho!!! We booked a standard room (no window) but got one with a window anyway! Can totally recommend the mekong/floating market-Tour offered from the hotel! The 40$ may look a bit overpriced in the beginning, but you get your own boat, food and drinks included and our personal tourguide explained us everything in perfect english!!!   The staff was really nice every time we saw them and very accommodating. We arrived late (9 or 10pm) and they told us about a floating market tour they offer, which sounded great to us but our only option was the next day at 5am.   This is a good budget hotel - there are no frills about it and the rooms are neat, tidy and basic. It is well located and the staff, in our experience, were very helpful. For the price, and for a stay of a couple of nights, it is okay and quite good value, if you are only looking for the basics.   Bungalow rooms are lovely. Staff are fabulous. Breakfast a bit boring but in saying that the hotel is so cheap there is no reason to complain. - Those who wants to enjoyed a regular hotel best is to be in downtown but if you like to stay local with comfort enjoy this stay !!!

  Hotel Xoai is an excellent hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful from the start and the lobby has lots of information about what to do, where to eat and how to get around. We stayed in a budget double abd despite what other reviews gave said we found it perfectly sized. It was bigger than rooms in Hong Kong and a LOT cheaper! It's only sho... what people say » rt walk to the river, near lots of places to eat and shop. We also took their floating market tour which we really enjoyed. Thank you so much for our - Staff were very welcoming, friendly and full of advice! They helped us book onwards travel as well which was great. Room was comfortable and had plenty of space. Equipped with ac, computer, and free tea and coffee. Room and bathroom were very clean. Location was pretty good - it was a bit of a walk to good food areas but we didn't mind. We booked the 3hr floating market trip with them and found it reasonably priced - our guide spoke a little English but was full of character.
