We arrived to the most enthusiastic welcome from the bubbly girl on reception who informed us we had been upgraded. We had the vip3 room on the 8th floor which had the most gorgeous rooftop balcony with an outdoor spa/shower, fishpond, plants. We took the tour offered by the hotel of the local floating market and it was outstanding and well worth the $20 per person. Our tour guide Johnny was very informative, friendly and had excellent English. We loved our stay at Kim Lan, and would recommend .
all reviews » Really nice choice for your stay in can tho!!! We booked a standard room (no window) but got one with a window anyway! Can totally recommend the mekong/floating market-Tour offered from the hotel! The 40$ may look a bit overpriced in the beginning, but you get your own boat, food and drinks included and our personal tourguide explained us everything in perfect english!!! After you come back to the hotel, you can even stay a bit longer than the checkout would allow you! We also booked the bustri. - Staff was extremely friendly, they were really helpful with everything. Also they helped to other travelers (who did not stay in this hotel) changing money - we were upgraded and our rooms were very very beautiful with a balcony with a fantastic view over can tho - we did a 4 hours tour to the floating market, which was perfect! we got so many information about the history, about making rice noodles, about the daily living of the people today and about many fruits we didn't now. we can d. Professional and friendly staff, very helpful. Free upgrade to the VIP room on the top floor, with a balcony and a big window with nice views. Nice small cafe' on the terrace on the top floor where you can enjoy your breakfast. They also have an homestay in the countryside which is absolutely gorgeous, it's a completely different experience but I would highly recommend spend at least one night there. Nice Hotel! The Vip 3Room on Top floor was the best we had in Vietnam. the staff was very friendly and our booked tour to Floating Market and Homestay with guide Chau was a very nice and exiting day. It had a private terrace with a koi pond and a hot tub. If you come a cross this place and its in your price range, take it you will be happy. It should be more than a 2star. They upgrade us for free, which is always more than welcomed. It's well located, 5 minutes walking distance. Standard rooms not very spacious, but deluxe are good!. The staff very nice and frendly. We booked a tour in Mekong Delta with them and it was very well organized.Clean. not much really. The bed was very small, a little uncomfortable for two. In the vip3 room, the toilet on the balcony is separated from the bedroom by a clear glass wall, and a transparent curtain. Not private for those who like to sit alone!. Tours: they were pricey and one of the them did not correspond at all to what I booked (I asked for a walking tour, and all we walked in one day was about 10 minutes....). Book your tours elsewhere. The balcony was pretty small and half occupied with the aircon which blue hot air to your legs. The room had a tiny window overlooking rooftops but it was all very clean. Nothing, it was all excellent. Nothing at all. not much choices for breakfast. Nothing. breakfast was OK but a little disappointing, very basic. No elevator. Nothing. Breakfast finishes at 9 in the morning, very limited options available and it's coupon based, not buffet. Laundry in the hotel is very expensive, we used outside service which is much cheaper. N/a. A little removed from Can Tho Quay.....not major. Furniture a bit old. The restaurant is on the roof and doesn't have a/c, so don't go late for breakfast (of course forget lunch over there). Nice views though. Not much choice for breakfast but continental. This is one hotel I really can't recommend. They have a problem with too high humidity in the building and there was a really bad smell in the room. Also the room was not clean, towels were missing and the bed was terrible. On top of that the hotel is completely overpriced, especially if you choose a "bigger" room.
