Everything! The small details that made all the difference. Labelled pillows (choose firm or soft). Incredibly comfortable bed. The hairdryer is not in the bathroom, it's by the mirror outside the bathroom so if you're two people one can fix his/her hair and the other one can use the bathroom. Smart. Best of all - there are different choices of WiFi. I was so glad to see that, it's always a dealbreaker for me when I'm travelling! You get free WiFi for just checking your emails, Facebook or what.
all reviews » - Cheap car park (all day for £4.50) - Very helpful and friendly staff. They answered all the questions patiently and explained very clear about whare to go and what to do in a day, especially, night staff that even offered to walk me to the car park at night. This what I call 'Extra miles service' - very happy! - Nice size room, very comfortable bed and pillows (choice of soft or frim pillow has been given - love the tag on the pillow). Very modern bathroom and nice shower + sofa bed + desk &. Overall stay enjoyable, staff friendly and helpful. Room was functional and clean. Breakfast was fine for a complementary inclusion as part of the room cost (though if there was bacon it would have been better!). Good location for city centre and also transport links to venues (e.g. Ethiad Stadium!). If like real ale, the Marble Arch pub is extremely close by :) ! Have to also add, that this review was based on the 50% saving on a twin room booking - not sure full price would have been seen a. We stayed for one night and were expecting very basic accomodation as we had only paid £65. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to the reception area to see how modern and clean it looked.The Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Again the room was faultless and the shower (a double) had the wow factor. Breakfast was ample & met our needs. Will certainly be staying here again instead of paying silly prices at the hotels on deansgate. Location was brill. too. Room was large with a double bed, sofa bed and huge window with view of square below, bathroom was clean and modern and the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Arndale shopping centre and from shudehill tram and bus station so getting to the Trafford centre was easy too. Breakfast was free although there wasn't a huge amount of choice, the basics such as toast, cereal, pastries and 3 hot food items but hey, it was free! Overall a really good, clean hotel. Everything from the moment we arrived we felt nothing was too much trouble, with pleasant and friendly staff, excellent standards highly recommended, perfection through out from the entrance to the dinning hall to our room, with the calming decor and wonderful warming atmosphere, great we will be returning with the whole family. On arrival I was greated and the girl on reception was very competent, we were told our room number and sent via the lift, the room was very nice, lovely comfy bed, and pillows the decor very modern, lovely & clean and a massive shower, although not too sure if the blue light in the bathroom, we slept very well, no noise from corridor or surrounding rooms and finished off with a super brekki. The staff were friendly The location was great ten minutes to the piccadilly station also ten minutes to Arandale's Shopping centre. Dining area clean and nice Beds are comfortable we slept like babies,but saturday night was noisy people next door kept screaming, it was because the game I think ! Manchester united was playing .The room was clean and cozy . .The bathroom was very clean. The location of the hotel was within 5 minutes of the railway station, the Printworks for all the restaurants and the Arndale Shopping Centre. Could not be better for our 3 day visit. Room to put cases until our train time so able to have a final walk out.before our lunch time train. Also the buffet type breakfast was more than I expected and filled you up for the day. The best holiday express as I stayed was Manchester London holiday express was realy bad . They changed the room on the second day and gave us a room with dirty carpets and it was so loud with doors banging all night. I usually stay in the Premier Inn but this was nicer and thirty quid cheaper. The room was a good size, modern decor, clean and entirely ffp. I also liked the variety of adjustments to the force and temperature of the shower. The staff are polite and friendly, answered every question confidently and efficiently. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was perfect for us. The room was was very clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The location is great to visit the city - it is close to manchester picadilly train station and close to a big metrolink station. The breakfast is not very diversified, but it is good and enough. Perfect location in the heart of Manchester, minutes from the various shopping areas and things to do in Manchester, very clean, quiet, very comfortable, great breakfast til 10.30, very helpful staff. - Travel by car: Difficult to find as SatNav & google map cannot find the hotel as the address/post code given on the website is inccorect and lack of sign to direct to the hotel. Difficult to locate prefered parking (sat nav postcode not correct) - though staff directed us from the other Euro Park to the designated Euro Carpark. The only negative we found were the bar prices - a little steep. We were offered 25% discount on drinks between 6 - 8pm so that would have been worth having if you were able to be in the bar during those hours. It's a shame about the building work opposite, although that is not the fault of the hotel. Limited chioces of breakfast Rooms were a little bit difficult to move around. It was not really an issue but I requested a double room on my booking but got singles. In the morning the shower pressure differs (depends how many other people are using it at the same time). Having to leave for 11am as we were comfortable in bed. the person who checked us in, was very friendly, but didnt point us in the right direction to our rooms, it was only with looking round when we arrived that we knew where to go. only 3 options for the hot breakfast. if there was a choice of bacon or tomatoes as well, that would be better. although having all the other options was great. If I had to suggest anything for improvement in what was a pleasant stay: breakfast could have been improved - eggs, and better quality juice. Also would have appreciated a later (standard) check-out time. No negative comments. a bit difficult to find. cant rely on the map provided.remember to get off metro at shundehill station and walk up the gentle slope until you see crowne plaza. holiday inn is just behind. hope this help. Really let down what would otherwise have been an excellent stay. What a shame!. Nothing I can think of!. Awkward road access: lack of parking was not crucial, because plenty of nearby sites, but unloading etc not easy. Breakfast choices could be better. The food service area is not big enough for a lot of guests to move around in. It became congested very quickly with people trying to squeeze past each other whilst carrying food and drink. nothing not even the lack of bacon. The downsides were that the breakfast was average at best and the staff seemed pretty uninterested, albeit perfectly professional. Nothing. There is nothing to complain about. I love my bath but thats not the hotels fault..loll.. Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing. I can honestly say there was absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Nothing! I'd stay here again. It was a little bit further than we expected from the men Arena and it appears that none of Manchesters Police Force actually knows where you are when we asked for directions !!. Cooked breakfast limited to sausage, beans and scrambled eggs. They must to provid a late check out like until 2:30 p.m for people who make the check in late to. Because I went there at 6:45p.m on friday, and when I asked for a late check-out they told me that the most late check -out that they could provide was until 12 p.m. I thing that they must to try something more rewarded for they costumers.
