Food and dining facilities excellent, service and staff very helpful friendly, hotel grounds and gardens beautiful. Quiet, peaceful and spacious, would never believe you could be so close to city centre, but in lovely rural surroundings. Safe car parking. overall friendliness of staff, requested a taxi no problem at all very pleasant experience although we only stayed overnight.

I thought room service menu was a little limited, no fish option in the main menu for example.we were due to check out at 11.00 after 1 nights stay and cleaners were wanting to access our rooms before this. it spoiled our relaxation a bit. the bedding. my room was too small and pillows uncomfortable.I have stayed here before and was very comfortable last time. size of rooms. Room was on the small side for a double but for a couple of nights stay was not a major issue. The room was tiny and is likely to stop us staying again unless we got a bigger room.double room was quite tight for two people. Was not able to sit in restaurant area,due to large volume of attendees from a company,menu choice was very limited also,could do with direction signs to reception area.I tried to contact reception several times during the day as my journey was delayed but each time (about 4 times in total) I got through to an answer machine and nobody returned my call, I also tried to phone to obtain correct driections (see postcode comment) and again could not get through which added quite a lot of time to an already long journey. Double room was actually only a single room with a double bed, which made it extremely cramped and awkward for two average -sized peoople to move around. Stale water smell in bathroom.Rooms were very small - they were ok for the night we stayed there, butwould be very cramped for a longer stay - the size of the rooms shouldbe made clear when booking. Also very strong smells of cleaning fluidsin the internal areas arouns which the rooms are built. Sound proofing noise through walls and plumbing excessive. Difficult to find, and no directions. Dodgy parking arrangements. By theway, this is 16 questions, not 4. Has someone lost their fingers?. Rooms very small, cleaners walking in the room without knocking in the morning. Bar closed and having to ask for it to be opened to get a drink. Not in central manchester as advertised. Hotel is more like a university halls of residence than a hotel.

The Carriage House restaurant is located in the new part of the hotel and can accommodate up to 100 diners. The restaurant has a light and airy décor with large windows overlooking the courtyard.
