The rooms were large, tidy and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and outgoing, which is a rarity nowadays in hotels with this star rating, it was more in keeping with a more expensive hotel or a higher star rating. It was a great location and I will certainly stay here next time I'm in Manchester. Every thing was excellent the staff were very very help full and polite. The security at the the hotel made you feel safe, l liked how you had to scan your room key to be able to go into the lift area. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice.
all reviews » Very friendly staff. Hotel was easy to find and had car park right next door. It is central to the city centre and surrounding areas are easy to get too. Very clean hotel and rooms. Very central location, cleanliness and comfort of rooms excellent, bathroom facilities fab, excellent value for money. The staff were extremely helpful, and the service was excellent. Lukewarm water in the shower. no opportunity to use a printer. would have happily paid to do so. unable to recommend a web cafe i could use. would be a useful facility for business guests. Our room was at the front of the hotel, which was very outside during the night.Having to wait to be seated at breakfast - but it was sunday morning. Also there was no radiator in the room, just a plug in heater. No teletext television. Hotel does not look very recently refurbished apart from the public lounge.The breakfast was dissapointing, especially after other reviews had stated otherwise. Bar prices and Traffic noise. the price of the breakfast was to epensive. The shower compartment did not drain well and the lighting in the room could have been improved, but the rest of the hotel was great.The breakfast seating area could do with being cleaned the beige coloured fabric looked very grubby. The bathroom was a little bit to cold.Buffet breakfast was awful. The bacon looke disgusting the scrambled eggs tasted awful. The fried eggs had black bits on them. No thought for presentation went into the cooked breakfast at all. Someone banging on my door 3 30am. the room was very sold and noisy. the fact that you had to charge all drinks to your bill at night. Rooms too hot!. There was a sort of drain smell in the bathroom of my room and the reception staff could have been more welcoming. The business man in front of me when I booked in was asked if he wanted a morning newspaper but I wasn't.
