    The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Not only I was provided with a clean, spacious and beautifully designed en-suite bedroom with great views but I had as well the valuable help of Ilio and Hamish in every possible aspect (from giving advice on how to spend leisure time to pointing me in the right direction whilst I was looking for a job ... what people say » in the city). The owners are extremely friendly yet never intrusive or insistent. I am already planning to go back soon! - Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!

    What a fabulous Guest House. In a true Scottish Manner I was met at the door and made to feel absolutely welcome. The staff were very professional and friendly and couldn't do enough for us, especially at breakfast. Our breakfast was a true Scottish munch - very well presented and not thrown together.     David and Lydie were extremely friendly hosts and were very helpful in telling us how to get around, nothing was too much for them to help with. The rooms were very well designed, spotless and the bed was very comfy, not to mention the view we had (room 8) was spectacular over Edinburgh and the castle! Everything about this hotel was perfect, we will definitely - It's a really lovely decorated house. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really tasty with good choice of food (glutenfree, vegeterian, vegan was no problem). The area was extremely quiet during night time. The house is in walking distance to the castle and the royal mile. There are several good restaurants in walking distance (5-10 minutes).

    Overall the accommodation facilities and cleanliness are good and value for money. The breakfast choices are wide even for muslim traveler. - Tina was great to deal with. Very accommodating. The location and access to public transport was perfect for us. The place was clean.

    To keep it in a nutshell - everything! We stayed in the triple room (Nr. 1) which is to the rear side of the building with garden view and very quiet. We left the window open all night. The room is equipped with a fridge, microwave, TV, etc. and tastefully decorated to the highest standard. We felt at home from the first moment on and they've secured their place in my Top-5-list of Scottish B&Bs. - Dave and Susan were the nicest couple, who made you feel friendly and at home in their beautiful Georgian style B&B in the city centre of Edinburgh. The B&B is conveniently located; it's a 25 minutes walk to the Royal Mile or a bus ride of 5 minutes. The breakfast was exceptionally well organised with lots of fresh fruits, croissants, yoghurts and cereals, and many different sorts of baked goods.     We booked a double and got a very spacious and comfortable room downstairs with 2 beds (queen & a twin). Check-in was quick. Heaters worked great for the chilly Dec weather. The shower always had hot water. Breakfast buffet consisted of cereal, toast, jam, yogurt, cheeses, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea was perfect to start the day. B... what people say » us stopped right outside the guesthouse but we did not need it much as the walk was a comfortable 15 mins to royal mile. Lots of places to eat nearby. - The B&B has really nice, with high ceilings and mouldings. Owner was very friendly and a nice welcoming host. Bed was comfortable, rooms were warm. Free Wi-Fi good for checking out local restaurants etc. Is about a mile walk from train station, with a nice bar restaurant called "Reverie" near-by on the way in to town. Breakfast was good, with coffee or tea to suit. We would stay again.

    A very warm welcome from the hosts. A lovely hotel and rooms clean and functional. Very close to the City Centre either by walking or taking one of several buses from the nearby bus stop. Saigon Saigon Restaurant was very good as was - The staff was super friendly and service was great, food looked and tasted just great for the price u pay, shower head was broken in our room on arrival, upon telling it was fixed by the time we got back. It was very clean, and the house is 150 years old and has a real Victorian feel to it, the ceiling is just wonderful. The info we got is some of the best i've seen and gotten in a B&B its complete and one piece of paper has everything you need.
