Location was superb, perfectly located on George Street near the best shops and restaurants. Drinks and food within the hotel were fantastic and delicious. There is no fitness center on site but they let you use the one at the Crown Plaza Roxburgh. Rooms were beautiful, bathrooms large, and well appointed. The rooms were perfectly quiet - all the noise from george street and from the club in the hotel did not affect the tranquility of the room. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!.
all reviews » we stayed at tigerlilly for our second wedding anniversary. we stayd in the junior suit it was a stunning room very comfortable.we had a few drinks in the bar.the bar staff were excellent my hubby loves his whisky and one young irish bar man helped with choosing different ones he hadn't tried before giving the backgrounds of the whiskys ect brilliant service.cant wait to stay again x. The rooms are very modern with interesting decor and lovely wood floors, instead of dusty carpets. The bathroom is lovely with a nice rain shower. They leave fruit for you in the room and a well stocked tea tray. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet despite its central location and the bar in the building. We thought the staff were fantastic, very accomodating and always willing to go the extra mile. We were early to check-in and although our room wasn't ready at that time, Tigerlily were very prompt in ensuring the room was ready quickly and were quick to notify us. Amy (reception/bookings), who went out of her way to look out for and grab the first cancelled room for the Friday night so we could stay both Thurs & Friday nights. We were in EDI for a funeral and her efforts made things easier for us. Thank you, Amy. I was very impressed with the service the whole staff was extremely nice and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and the room is very big. Walking distance to everything. I would really recommend Edinburg it's a beautiful city and people are very friendly. Loved the overall energy of the hotel. Great colors, music, lighting, etc. Breakfast was quite good and good price. Rooms were large and bed was comfortable. Can't beat the location! Staff was helpful and warm. Would stay again for sure. Room layout-however when I booked room for myself and my 27 year old daughter, it was described on web as "twin" -which would translate to me as two single beds. Room allocated had one king size bed! Continental breakfast was of good quality. Fireplace made room seem very cosy and inviting. Vast bathroom. Aperol spritz on cocktail list reminded us of summer holiday in Italy. Child free break in huge comfortable bed meant we slept in and forgot to feed parking meter. Great room, great location and helpful staff. Attention to detail in the room made it a great stay. Good for couples wants a nice city trip with the plus of a great bar downstairs.. With staff who can make top notch cocktails!!. The staff were fabulous, room amazing, nothing was anything but perfect. We got married on the Saturday an stayed on th Monday. Couldn't think of a better place to spend our anniversary for the future years. Rooms were very classy including the robes and slippers! Room was very quiet considering the hotel is above a busy bar/nightclub. Amazing location for shopping, dining, tourist attractions and nightlife. The bed was huge and so comfy, between that and the rain shower I didn't want to leave! The wifi was constant and had a very good signal which helps. The hotel is just brilliant and I will be back soon. It was just the best hotel I have stayed in! The room I was given did not have a bath so they changed it for me straight away to a lovely room. The restaurant serves excellent food. We liked everything but wonder why European hotels don't use a top sheet as well as a comforter. We found that our room hadn't been as thoroughly cleaned as we would have thought it would have been. We found a ladies hair clip on the desk when we walked into our room. We also found that from our room we could hear the other room door closing and the room we were staying in would bang slightly. Also we found that we could hear the noise of the music, but this didn't bother us as it wan't unbearable. Nothing. Rooms could have been cleaner (not bad, but not sparkling). Some of the hotel facilities need to be maintained a bit better - elevator broke, our towel rack was broken, a few light bulbs were burnt out - just some small details. Thirty pounds parking fine. Dining is in the bar downstairs or in your room. Nothing to complain about this hotel. Brilliant!. Breakfast should be included it the price. there was nothing we didnt like we found that every thing was good. As busy people, we rarely have time at home to take a bath. Therefore, we were disappointed to find that our bathroom only had a shower. Cannot fault the hotel. The air conditioning in the room was noisy. difficult to manage the lighting - too complex. Very noisey in the corridor - had to get management to fix door hinges - air con too noisey to keep on at night. Bar heaving with scanitly glad girls, most of whom seemed drunk and the music was too loud to chat to each other. Need to be aware that the hotel restaurant is more like a club venue in the evening - we were ok with this but not what you would choose for a quiet romantic meal!. nothing. No bath tube in bath room. TV set is too near to the bed. No complaints. The lift was out of order that day and although we were only on the 2nd floor my friend is asthmatic and found it a bit of a struggle going up and down the stairs. Nothing. The price of the cocktails!!!!! Bit on the dear side!!!! But they were yummy. Nothing. It was a little pricey, but well worth it!. Noise from the nightclub but in fairness we did know there was a nightclub there. Nothing. Nothing. The broken lift. Pricy Internet connection was not stable. MAJOR DRAWBACK: the hotel hosts a bar at ground level which is very nice if you want to drink something, but you can clearly hear club music until 2 am or so. This is definitely NOT acceptable. I guess if you stay in one of the top floor suites you do not have this problem, but regular rooms are still quite pricey and it is not nice to go to bed with techno music bumping in your ears... I would NOT book this hotel again for this reason. Expensive. Quite expensive. none. Tv did not work in room, although it is a boutique hotel it is a tad expensive compared to other top hotels in the city offering the same great location an luxury but slightly less expensive!.
