What people say
The freindless of the hotel staff, is always a must for me, my staff are trained to the highest of standards and i expect this from all other staff, and i got it soo the staff were excelent, the breakfast was lovely and the room was clean and tidy and everything had its place. and with its own italian restaraunt on site which again was lovely its an ideal weekend away. i was pleased with the friendly homely approach by the hotel owner. the service was excellent and i would not hesitate in recomending it to friends and family. all reviews »
the staff were very freindly and courteous. Room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Owner was very friendly. shopping and the lights. friendly, helpful staff. Staff very friendly Good location Meals good value for money On main bus route And i would return again. the staff was really nice. The owner, he was very polite, he bought us up breakfast, always asked if we were ok. convenience to amenities. hotel parking.I slept well. we where upgraded to a family room foc, hotel is ok for an over night but would not like to stay in for any longer. Nothing, apart from it was available and reasonable cost. We could park easily on forecourt, although this was out of season. The hotel didn't actually do anything complainably wrong, it was cheap and that was reflected in what we got. Would suit kids on a budget who don't care and just wanna go to Pleasure Beach as it was right next to it. Very hard to find something we liked - the views were very good and the off street parking. the owner was very pleasant .the food was exellent. illuminations was the only good thing. The staff were very friendly. location was good and the man who ran the hotel was really nice. breakfast. size of the room, was a bit on the small side. our room was very, very small. room could have been better decorated. damp on room ceiling. room window was draughty and had toilet roll stuffed around edges to stop draught. curtains were hanging off rails. shower pressure was very slow. light out in bathroom. In November the restaurant/ bar is shut. The hotel doesnt do early breakfasts for those of us that need to be up and out before 9am so I had to go to a mcdonalds on both mornings. small things where wrong with the room, water in the shower was not that warm, one of the windows did not close right, we were given 1 towel between 2 of us, but managed to find the laundry cupboard to get more and tea making facilites were'nt up to much cups where dirty and the room could have done with a good clean. It was dismal, (to be fair we didn't notice it as being unclean) but it was old fashioned and depressing. There was no hot water when we arrived so after a long journey and late at night couldn't use shower. Breakfast was only available between 9.00 and 9.30, so very limited times, which didn't suit us. However, we were happy to give it a miss as it was all so grotty. website stated 'cleanliness assured' -this is not the case. Carpets need thorough vacuming, the paintwork is filthy in parts. The hotel is cheap but the basics fell way short of our expectations. The rooms were shabby and dirty - wallpaper peeling off, holes in walls, kettle and cups filthy, the bedding not clean. Be on time for breakfast - a minute late and we were refused and had paid for 7 of us. the mildew in the bathroom and on the window handles in the bedroom are in severe need of cleaning. towels where dirty on arrival had to ask for them to be changed, limited coffee/tea supplies,we had to pay for a family room although only 2 people used the room, the room isn't big enough to be a family room it should be changed to a twin room for more space, the food was ok although we where still eating our cereal when the cooked breakfast was brought to the table ?. The room had no heating, it was noisy throughout the night and upstairs smelt of smoke. rooms were very dirty and rooms did not resemble the ones on the website. room. room for 2 and 1 child But the room was the size of a single No coffee in room and all the cups etc was on top of a very dirty wardrobe.
