The room was great. The owner was very nice and always helpful. It's within a reasonable walking distance from central station and there is plenty to do in the area if you decide to stay near the hotel. Perfect for couples and students. If I ever came back to Amsterdam, I'm looking up the sipermann first. Very clean and warm, bathroom spotless. Manager was very helpful. Continental breakfast can be arranged, but not neccessary as lovley cafes in a very nice area of the city, very quiet.

The call concerned my travel arrangements, and so the staff inquired personal questions about the time of the flight in order to reason with me that a call would be useless or that I would not want to wait while put on hold by the airport.The fact I needed a long cable to access the internet. the shower was tight and if you are taller than 1,80 you touch the ceiling with your head!! basin is too small it was almost impossible to use it... i must use the shower also to clean my face... anyway i spent very good time in this hotel. Not very flexible re extending check out time. Room is rather small. Room a bit tiny. no tea and coffee in room. - A breakfast option, a lift and a reception desk 24 hours would be nice. There was no mentioning about the fact that the bathroom and toilet were shared. There was noise from the club across the street. The room was on the ground floor. It was unsafe to leave valuable things in the room, since there were no bars at the window.£78 a night stay in a cupboard even if it was ensuit. Window too high up on the wall that looked out onto a wall not a foot and a half away. Three flights of steep stairs. Extremely claustrophobic experience. No breakfast, very small room.I booked a single, and the manager suggested I upgrade to a double, for only EUR10.00 extra. I suppose I'm glad I accepted, because this "double" was tiny. I can't imagine how small the single was.The rooms are too small: they're like "cells of the hermit friars". Thebeds are too soft. The room is very small and the bad is not comfortable. Especcialy considering the price of the room.Tiny awkward bathroom, shower water goes everywhere, tiny one liter sink,. room was cold, loud neighbors stumbling in drunk after 3AM, not super clean.room was way to small for the price I was charged.
