Good, modern hotel. The room had a good view of the harbour and cruise ships docking. Very good value. Staff very friendly too. Wonderfull view, wonderfull room - perfect!. It is a very nice hotel. Amsterdam is very expensive to eat out - 2 x croissants, coffee and orange juice will set you back 16 € - so 23 € for a great buffet breakfast which will keep you going until mid afternoon is very good value.We enjoyed everything: the hotel, the room facilities,the location, the staff, the quiet surroundings and the great views of the hotel! It is not downtown but it is extremely convenient with the tram stops and near the central station. breakfast and clothe to city, 10 min work over the bridge.the meeting I was attending was held on the same hotel. If you are looking to stay in the heart of Amsterdam, the hotel is removed from the main sights (though it is convenient to Centraal Station by foot or by tram). These are minor complaints -- it is a good value overall, and its location on the harbor allows for the great views.Transportation. The shuttle bus to Central station was a way too small.Fits only 8 people. Room was not ready on arrival at 8pm, complementary drink was offered. there were several trechnical problems, e.g., elevator and room key did not work. room too warm maybe pb wt .....climatisation. The position of this Hotel is really far from the city centre. The Hotel has a free shuttle service to the main train station but it is not very frequent and always full in the critical hours. Inefficient airco, requesting 3rd towel and coffee cup each day despiterequest at the check-in, quality of room cleaning, more computers w/ wwwaccess at the lobby ( currently 2 only - queue). no airconditioning and very little possibility to ventilate, even in autumn it was quite hot in the room. Some of the employees who are working on the lobby are not friendlyand helpfull. I couldn't accept restaurant reservation for hotel resident. it's far from the city center. Unhelpful staff, no hot water for the 1st 2 nights of my stay, no compensation was provided. Always have to wait for long time b4 some1 picking up from reception. Bad location, seems to be near to central station, but actually need to walk more than 20mins, Given it's expensive price,didn't live up to standard at all. DON"T RECOMMEND. No enugh services, and too expensive (Resturant, Room charge,....).
