I sincerely invite everyone who wishes to visit Amsterdam gives a hotelboat a try and not just this one. It is so much fun waking up in the morning with swans knocking on your window (ok, I'm exaggerating here but I did see a photo on the boat that it did happen before). The dock features multiple hotelboats. The staffs are warm and friendly. The dock is 11 minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal station or if you prefer take a bus ride for one stop and walk 2 minutes. An excellent option to stay in Amsterdam for a day or two. Just 10 minutes from the central station. But there are no crowds of tourists. Fresh air and romance. Healthy breakfast, clean cabin, toilet and shower room.
Great staff. The girl is always ready to answer any questions of visitors. The hotel is for those who are not afraid of pitching sea.))))

Very central location.Its 2 blocks from amsterdam centraal. The boat is steady and provides such a great view. Wifi worked perfectly. Everything was really clean and safe. Relaxed atmosphere. Merel was kind and welcoming and she helped us with tips on where to go. The breakfast was included and very filling. Coffee, teas, cereal, bread, ham, cheese, orange juice, chocolate milk and a variety of spreads. Its really a fun experience.
Its a great experience to stay in Amicitia, room was below the water level i.e true Amsterdam experience, Staff was extremely cooperative as for all 3 days we requested early breakfast & they served us at least an hour earlier then the scheduled time, brilliant morning view outside the restaurant while having a good breakfast, good location & good value for Money.
Loved the staff very friendly and welcoming made you feel at home. First night there we were offered a room with a better view for the next night without us asking. Great atmosphere with everyone on board and of course with the avanti boat beside us Dave has great hair and we love his hamster! Merel gets 11/10!.

The room was tiny and we slept in bunks but for the price we couldent complain. So far the best, cleanest, nicest hostel we have encountered. Breakfast was served early and ran late. Close enough to walk to anything or ride a bike. Best staff and nice boat!.
It is what it is. You're staying on a boat in the middle of Amsterdam! What more could you ask? Its very well placed being a short easily walkable distance from the redlight district, Anne Franks house (where she hid from the nazi's) and the train station.
The staff were delightfully friendly, the breakfast was a proper Dutch offering and the boat was a good place to hang out during bad weather. The rooms were clean, it was only a 7 minute walk from AMS central, good wifi. Very good value for money really.

Staying at this hostel is an absolutely unforgettable experience.
That's a great way to explore Amsterdam. Cabins are tiny but that
wasn't a problem at all. Everything is very clean. However this
accommodation suits young people the best.
Rooms were simple and neat. Liked the fact that every cabin had their own sinks and that there was always a vacant shower and toilet available at the end of the hall. Included breakfast was actually pretty good!.
It was amazing...we were a group of 18 friends, staying at the hotel for 2 nights. it was awesome. breakfast moment was amazing, really intimate. it's perfect for a group of frieds. staff are really polite.
The room window was about two feet above the water and you have two new friend popping the beaks in to say hello - Simon and Shela the swans! So much fun! Really nice boat with a lovely captain.
The captain was fantastic, she provided everything we needed and then some, including great tips on things to see, a free ride through the canals on a smaller boat, and breakfast every morning.
I like the place of location of the Amcitia. It's directly the centr
of the city. Very comfortable to find any district from there. And the
breakfast room was comfort and the meal was tasty))).
The boat is near the city centre. The woman at staff was friendly, we had to leave very early in the morning so we couldn't be at breakfast time, and she made us a sandwich to take away.

Entrance looks slightly shabby. Bathrooms and showers are down the hall but always available. Not really a problem. Rooms are small and getting down the stairs can be challenging with large bags or if someone has back problems. For a young and adventurous crowd.

The only complain was that I heard music and people rustling around at 5:00 in the morning! I don't blame the place, I just think guests should have a little more respect for people trying to get some sleep in the morning (especially for a place without soundproofing).
