We booked it as it was so cheap, we were interested to see what we would end up with and had decided if it was awful, we would just swallow the cost and stay somewhere else. We were totally shocked at this little treasure, it was fantastic, the staff were amazing, the location was perfect, the breakfast was outstanding. Roof terrace was just lovely, I stayed in the room on the terrace which was fabulous. Highly recommend, before they realise they are way undercharging! Love love love.
all reviews » This small, friendly Riad is right in the middle of the souks, close to everything. An excellent choice of cafes and restaurants is within 5 minutes walk. Breakfast on the terrace was a fantastic start to each day. The bathrooms were cute, beds comfy, staff friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time here and wished we were staying longer. Fantastic location, walking distance to bus station, short walk to beach, harbour, city walls, shops, restraunts etc. The staff very attentive, warm hearted and polite, even the maid remembered us from last year. Loved the roof terrace. This must be the friendliest town/city in Morocco. We will keep coming back. We liked a lot this place as it is in real maroccan style, has a fantastic terrace and it is in the centre of Essaouira. Breakfast is fantastic, large and really good and it is served on the sunny terrace, it was great! For the price we paid it is real value for money. Great place to stay.Brilliant location, just a few minutes walk from the Main Square and Souks of Essaouira. The hotel was extremely comfortable, and very clean. Staff were very friendly. Of course if you are looking for a luxury hotel this is not your place. We loved our spacious room overlooking the souk. A bit noisy, but the delightful breeze outweighed the noise.The rooftop terrace had comfy seating and the breakfast (served on the terrace) was a generous offering of eggs, breads and jams. The fact we had only booked to stay for one night and then go back to Marrakesh,. Our rooms (at the front) were a bit noisy at night... that's it! We loved everything else. We found the breakfast boring. There was plenty to eat but all bread that was quite dry and even the French bread was toasted leaving it dry. We had the same breakfast for three days and there was no alternative if you dont like bread and egg. I craved msemmen. The breakfast was exactly the same last year. Nothing bad to say at all!. The hotel is situated in a noisy area.No lift. Noisy, as all riads. Also, our room was rather moisty, it was hard to breath. asked for local tax payment on departure rather than included in booking price. everything was good. Noisy (earplugs necessary for sleep). No sea view (I have stayed in riads with same price but closer to the sea before). The last night something bit me, possibly bed bugs but didn't think to look for them before we left in the morning so not sure. We stayed in room 1... A lot of noise from the street . The staff weren't friendly at all and weren't particularly welcoming. we had allergy from some bug and needed more cautious from hotel team.. Riad is in one of the main streets so a lot of noise, also in the night. So naar noisy that you want to close the windows at least. Matrass was bad. Staff to commercially driven.
