We both enjoyed everything that Dar Latigeo had to offer, the area and the staff. Never before have we met such an energetic, hospitable, fun loving, interesting and interested owners. all reviews » The riad had a great atmosphere- the owner was really helpful and charming. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and bars. The room was very clean and nicely designed. The breakfast is excellent. There is a sofa and a bookshelf in the breakfast area with some books in French and English including some guides to Morocco which were helpful to sit and read. The roof terrace was well equipped with seats and loungers, although it was only big enough for two groups at a time. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The window woke us up on the first night rattling due to the wind- but we just put a sock in the middle and it solved the problem!. nothing bad ;-). - It's little stuffy and loud if you have a room with a window going to the stairway. - Make sure you print a copy of the map that he sends you, because it is very difficult to get there just by the address. No air con and a little damp, but all part of the experience of such an old and original building. Hard to find on arrival. Not a big issue for us, but if you're sensitive to noise children playing directly in front of the riad might disturb you . No internet available in the room, just in the lobby. Very hard to find without map of Medina. First impression is not so good, but it changes later. The booking information was misleading and we did not have a private patio. The mini suite we booked was a little dark as there was no window. I would stay here again but in a different room. Shared bathroom and the layout of the communal area. The room (Les Fregates) was tiny and dark. There wasn't space to walk down the sides of the double bed, and there were no windows. The bathroom always smelled bad, even immediately after cleaning - presumably dodgy plumbing.
