  It is our first time to visit Maldives so I'll take this oppurtunity to say our overall experience. We arrived in Male, early in the morning and decided to take the ferry to Maafushi. Unfortunately, the 10am schedule was fully book so we were told to wait until 3pm for the next schedule as they ran out of tickets. Considering we were in an unfamil... what people say » iar place, we went back to the port. We called the hotel to pick us up via speedboat and within 20 minutes they arrived. We were not used to riding sp - If you are looking to stay away from big resorts full of other tourists and like the beach, this is it! Absolutely the best hotel in Maafushi! Rooms are simple but they are spacious, very clean and air-conditioned. And if you go for a sea-view room (like we did), you will get a good size balcony as well.   Very friendly people, nice and clean room, delicious food, offer of a variety of trips and activities. We stayed 4 days in Maafushi Inn and had a nice and clean room with sea view. The island Maafushi has not a big beach for (sun)bathing etc. and doesen´t look like that what someone expect when he thinks of Maldives, so - Very friendly staff. Hussain was there to meet us at the Jetty and even took the time to give us a tour of the island on the first day. Even made suggestions to us on how to control our budget and was honest about the excursions (on which ones are better to spend on depending on our requirement). Meeshan (the cook) was brilliant.   Me and my friends (3 of us) booked a double room with 1 extra bed but got accommodated in a triple room instead, fantastic! Room was spacious, very clean, two towels per person were provided - one for room use and the other one you can take to the beach with you. We loved the homey feeling of this hotel.   It's really fantastic place ! We r stay in the room which can watch the sea view , and the room is very clean , morden style , bathroom is big enough , bed also , very comfortable ! ! The guys owning the place came for us to the ferry jetty, they transported our luggage and welcomed us with much needed cold drink while in the same time we learnt all the stuff the island and surrounding offer. There are many possibilities for wonderful excursions. If you like, you can count on a well experienced snorkel instructor who can make your experience more special.
