It's really fantastic place ! We r stay in the room which can watch the sea view , and the room is very clean , morden style , bathroom is big enough , bed also , very comfortable ! ! I was warmly welcomed at Arora Inn, the staff is so friendly and helpful - always a smile on their faces. The rooms are arranged with love to details and kept clean. The breakfast is served on the terrace - by the way my favorite place - stunning views on the sunset or just read a book with the relaxing sound of the waves. Food is delicious - especially the local short eats! A charming place - worth visiti. Thanks Mohamed for everything! The vacation in Maafushi was really awesome and this was mainly due to the excursions Mohamed and his team organised. The islands, snorkeling at the Banana reef or swimming with Manta rays are really unforgettable experiences. And this for a reasonable price! If you are going to Maafushi, Arora Inn is highly recommended!. Staf is great, Mohammed specially kind with good comand of English. The island is not big at all, so location is the best possible. Note that if you are solo and they don´t have an excursion, you can always arrange with other hotels (don´t pay the indiviual price, besides it´s boring). The hotel is very clean, and with very kind staff, not just very friendly but helpful, they gave us a walking tour of the island, also arranged boat transport to/from Male at modest price. Located close to the jetty, just on seaside, although there is no sand beach, you may enjoy unbelievable sunset just out of the door. Breakfast is ok, You may take different excursions and of cause see much more things than staying on just on island. Mohammed the Manager tried hard to satisfy our needs. Front line location is great for sunset. The hotel itself is quiet nice. These things are unfortunately common in Maafushi, but be prepared: lot of bugs (mainly ants), water in bathroom stinks, poor breakfast. There were very few guests, so I did not get to meet any other travellers. (They forgot to wake me up also, but that´s ok I´ve ended up catching the early morning boat to Male). Our room was a bit small for family with (1) children. WiFi signal is not very good!. I did not like that I had to wake up very early. But it was my own fault because I planned a lot for the day because there is so much to see... Small shower malfunction. No TV in the room. In a muslim local island you can not drink even a beer, but there is a "bear boat" on the sea .. Maldivian cuisine is not for enjoy. From our experience in Maafushi the food is low standard and samey. All hotels seem to have a severe lack of ventilation and you must depend on Aircon and fans, not nice for your throat. Considering the price, similar to some city hotels around the world ...Maafushi in general isn't value for money.

Important information to guests

Please note that as the island of Maafushi is inhabited by local Muslims, guests are not allowed to wear bikini or other revealing swimwear on the island. However, the inn can arrange for excursions to other islands where these restrictions do not apply. --- The inn is accessible via a scheduled ferry or speedboat. The charges for this transfer is not included in the room rate, and will be collected upon check-in. Please liaise directly with the inn regarding which arrangement you prefer, at least 3 days before your check-in date. By scheduled ferry, it is a 1-hour, 30-minute journey from Male International Airport. It will cost USD 2 per person. The ferry departs from Male at 15:00 and from Maafushi at 07:30 daily. Ferry services are not available on Friday. If you are not able to make the timing for the ferry departure, you must make arrangements to stay in Male for one night, or take the speedboat transfer. Speedboats take 35 minutes' to reach Maafushi. Advance booking is required. Please note that all inclusive package includes: Food and Beverages (breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks available on the menu) Excursions (sandbank trip, snorkelling, night fishing) Please note that the following can be arranged at an additional cost : - Snorkelling trips and excursions within South Male Atoll. - Dolphin-watching trip. - Picnic on a beautiful private island.
