Me and my friends (3 of us) booked a double room with 1 extra bed but got accommodated in a triple room instead, fantastic! Room was spacious, very clean, two towels per person were provided - one for room use and the other one you can take to the beach with you. We loved the homey feeling of this hotel. all reviews » 5 of us stayed in the hotel for 3 day 2 nights , we had good time . Our purpose was for relax and swimming (relax ,food , beach ). We chose the island for its simplicity .the hotel offers frindly attitude . The manager went out of his way to help us more than once .the hotel Gide and information ,including activities was accurate . Ibrahim and the team were so friendly and helpful, even putting sun beds out at the beach for us each day. The restaurant on site makes good food and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Only 30 seconds walk to the beach where bikinis are allowed. Stingray even let guests borrow snorkel, mask and fins for free. A very nice, clean, cosy and comfortable hotel (Inn) close to the beach with a very helpful and understanding manager Mr. Ibrahim who arranged all our tours for us Food is good and the manager fulfilled our special breakfast request. I gladly recommend this place to all. I couldn't have been happier with the Stingray Beach Inn. Maafushi is a lovely island with great diving nearby. Stingray is very close to the beach, the food is great, the staff are lovely and the room had everything I needed. The island is 1hr 30 mints far from Mali so proper planing is required ,as not to miss the fary .otherwise you Have to pay quite allot for speed boat . The hotel can arrange a good price speed boat . Breakfast choice (no buffet although 80% booking on some days) and amount served was less (no fruits served,1 small cup of coffee/tee, and choice of 4 different breakfast). A fruit plate was served upon request. Mixed fruit plate was served after paying an extra price (approx. $5-$6), occasionally information was not passed on to the staff what we had requested for breakfast. many flies in the garden and dinning area, and quite disturbing to have breakfast; the speedboat fee for (paid) activities are obviously over-priced (USD350 for 20mins round trip), believes it is a common source of income of all inns/hotels in Maldives;. When once a year people from the island maybe together with tourists take bags to collect all trash - they can make it in 4 hours.it is not difficult to keep the island clean. nothing. Some idiot photographing some locals without asking if he could and doing as if they where some sort of side show, they where clearly not impressed. A blanket could be provided instead of the bedsheet. Front side of the island is constantly kept cleaned by the local community/hotels but not the other side of the island where rubbish is not cleared. The rooms aren't quite as flash as they look in the photos & remember that in the Maldives they add taxes that may not be quoted on this site. Breakfast choice. Mosquitos and flies. Doesn't stay near with beach, for us were very importent. And very bad and duty island. The noisy prayers from the minarets all day from early morning. No beer!! In general - burka!. Average food.

Please note that guests must specify their arrival and departure flight details at the time of booking, at least 48 hours before arrival. The hotel will meet guests at the airport and assist with transportation from the airport to the hotel, via ferry or speedboat. The cost of the transportation has to be paid directly to the hotel. Shared speedboat transfers are provided at USD 40 per person, for a minimum of 5 guests. Guests are kindly requested to make requests for speedboat transfer prior to arrival. The ferry transfer service from Male to the resort takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs USD 2 per person. The ferry leaves Male at 15:00. The return ferry leaves Maafushi at 07:30. Please note that there are no ferry services on Fridays.
