I booked the Nobel Hotel at short notice and by the look of other reviews it is far better value for money than some of the other cheaper hotels. The room was clean: fresh sheets and towels every day. There is a PC in the room, TV etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, showing me how to use the Korean language washing machine. I liked everything: location in the belly of the old town, the close proximity to many touristic attractions (palaces, temples, Bukchon Village, Samcheongdong, Insadong, Seoul Plaza, shopping area of Myeongdong), the wise and spotless clean room with a lot of facilities(a huge tv-screen; PC with free access to internet; various complimentary toiletries; very comfortable bed with firm mattress; coffee/ tea maker; slippers; fridge with orange juice, ice tea, bottled water - every day a fresh set;.
The hotel is ideally situated for sightseeing in the older part of
Seoul. Located between some of the most important palaces, temples,
shrines and tombs as well as traditional Bukchon areas and Insadong
Street with its shops and excellent street performers. The staff are
among the friendliest and most helpful encountered anywhere.
Location near metro stations and a 1 minute walk to the most beautiful palace and park. Many eateries and convenience stores nearby. Large comfortable room and bath with many little ammenities. Excellent wi- fi in room.
The location was perfect. Near all modes of transportation. Near shopping, restaurants, cultural areas. It was an exceptional value for the money.

great location almost opposite Changdeok Palace. Airport Limousine bus 6011 stops almost at the door. Close to city tour bus stop too.

The room is well cleaned thouth the equipment is old.
I was originally going to stay at the more expensive Sutton Hotel but had to change plans at the last minute. There is of course a few rougher edges for this hotel as it is far cheaper than others in the area - there was a very slight mouldy smell, the staff spoke limited (but passable) English and the room was a little dark. All these are just fussy things that you would not get if looking for a more expensive stay.
It's not easy to find the entrance of the hotel if you arrive in Seoul on a rainy night; you can notice the advertising on the top of the building, but getting there is a tricky job, for the first time. After that, it becomes quite simple.
Internet access can be intermittent in the bedrooms.
Large bed was oriental-rock hard. I travel with an inflatable air mattress. The screams from the near-bye Taekwando academy for several 1/2 hr periods a day added a little too much local colour.

although WIFI internet is advertised throughout the hotel it only works in the lobby. The staff spoke poor English.

Awkward to find.
The hotel is re-constructing, it's very noisy,the hotel should
clearly state in advance for the customers reservations. We can hardly
get enough rest for the construction is on going for early in the
morning and late in the evening! Hope the situation will be changed
after the response of our statying for 4 nights. Meanwhile , the
staff's should show the consideration for the customers !.
