We loved our stay at Haemil Guesthouse. The couple running it is so helpful and sweet. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. There is free drinking water and tea and coffee all day, as well as free cereal. It is in walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions and the location is very central. Close to subway and buses. all reviews » My family and I really enjoyed staying at the Haemil Guesthouse. The owners were very nice and helpful. They were kind and considerate of our needs and Miss Kim is a very good cook. The hanok was small but authentic in its looks and furnishings. You really got the feel of what a Korean style home was like. Sleeping on the floor was a little hard but the futon and coverings were plush and comfortable. Site seeing places like the palaces, the Korean Folk Village and shopping were close by. We wou. Wonderful owners! Mr. and Mrs. Kim always asked us about our plans, and helped us in their execution. They were very sweet and hospitable to us, and breakfast always tasted great! They even had snacks for us when we would pop in from touring for a bit to take a breather. The location is perfect - barely a 5 minute walk to Changdeokgung Palace, and a little under 10 minutes to the nearest subway station. If you'd like to visit Seoul for the cultural and historical sights, this is a great "home b. Actually we enjoyed the stay in Haemil guesthouse. The location is good to visit most of the famous sightseeing. It took 10mins to metro by walking. The young couple whom run the guesthouse are extremely nice. They prepared welcome tea and chocolate for the first day. In the night of second day we were surprised to get the hot chocolate as it was raining and cold outside, which made us feel warm. I hope I can still stay in Haemil if I have chance to Seoul again. Strong recommended!. Everything!!! The house and our room was very comfortable and very clean. The location is good - Changdeokgung Palace is 2 mins from the Hanok & other places like Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun & In. .loction..it's quite convenient that you could get there by airport shuttle bus #6011 .the Kim family..they are very friendly,mr kIM even helped us to take our baggage to the bus stop while leaving. Bathroom was a little small, which might be a problem for some visitors, but nothing that's a serious problem. We found the beds a little to thin for our liking but that is what you get in a traditional Hanok. Nothing. Everything was perfect!. It may be hard to locate them if you arrive late when it is dark. We went into the alley beside the Nescafé, which was wrong. After you saw Nescafé, you need to go to the left side around the wall then you see the alley you need to go in. The place are a bit too secluded in the area but Mr. Kim provided a very detailed instructions to reach their place which I have no problem finding it. They were also drying some towels in the front yard when we arrived which is kind of untidy to our liking but I guess it is an unpolished experience (in a positive way) because a typical small house would have do that?. None. I wish the guesthouse could be closer to subway stations... Nothing, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The heated floor was not comfortable for us to sleep in. Possibly you could ask to turn it down. It was quite hard to find the place. Would be great if they provided bigger towels. I liked all, but only recommend place to people who like something a little different. since we visit Seoul in winter,the room is warm,but the washroom is cold, seem like got wind come from outside.. Location at the end of alley in a more built up area than I expected. I was expecting a traditional village setting, but that was a bit naive of me I now realize having seen Seoul!. Room is smaller than expected. The floor can get a bit too warm sometimes. Our trick is to open the room door slightly to let the cold breeze sip in. That would be fine then. .it would be great if the toilet(shower togeter) could be a bit bigger .would be very happy if there are some fruit for breakfast..
