I stayed Tobu Hotel in the midst of March 2013 with my mom and my elder brother. I strongly recommend you this hotel in that I absolutely love to its very satisfied location, clean room service and comfortable atmosphere. It is near from the Sibuya Station which is one of busiest stations in Tokyo, it just away from the Station around 5 to 7 minutes on foot, so you can easily access to many tour spots and actually Sibuya is also a popular place for shopping at all. In the heart of Shibuya which means you´ll find everything you´ll need in walking distance and with the advantage of being in a quiet place so you also can get a reinvigorating night of sleep. 5 min walk from shibuya station, where you can catch Yamanote Line (free with JRPass) and easily reach everywhere in Tokyo. You´ll experience the irresistible Tokyo the second you´ll step outside the hotel. The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal. You are right in the middle of Shibuya and are conveniently close to the train station which makes travelling to and from Narita airport a breeze. i was travelling on my own and felt completely safe in the hotel and surrounding areas at all times of the day and night. With th emetro and JR station a few minutes walk it is easy to get to all the best sights in Tokyo such as the Imperial Palace, Harajuku, Akihabara, Disneyland and even day trips like Yokohama are one line to get to. The hotel is also a bit roomier then many small Japanese business hotels and the staff are always friendly and helpful to me. The Tobu Hotel is a perfect place to stay for a city trip to Tokyo. Staff is friendly and helpful, everything is spotlessly clean. Tobu Hotel is a rather big business hotel so don't expect it to be personal or individual. Its less than ten minutes to walk to Shibuya station which makes it a great option to explore the city. Harajuku and the Yoyogi Park with Meiji Jingu Shrine are also within comfortable walking distance (15 min). The room was clean and quiet as we only stayed in it to sleep. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good value for the money. the hotel is situated close to everything you could ever need and the train station was a couple of minutes walk away. Would stay there again. I believe my friends were able to hire something similar for about ¥500 per day. Bathroom was on the small side, but that's expected for Tokyo (and Japan in general!). Beds were quite hard, as were the pillows. If you're picky with what you lay your head on, then I recommend bringing your own pillow!!. The hallways smelled like smoke, but at least the room an air purifier. The room was a bit small, but that's to be expected in Tokyo. There is no wifi connection available, only wired. I have found this to be common in Japan, so we took our own wireless router and cable and it wasn't a problem for us. Also, breakfast is a bit expensive, I recommend to have breakfast at any place nearby (the area is full of restaurants, cafes and convenience stores). The price was also on the upper end of my range for the trip, but you are really getting your money's worth for the location. No wifi in the room, only by wired cable. When we went into the room for the first stay, there was unpleasant smell in the room. The check out time is 11am but late check out is extendable by paying ¥1000per hour. No wifi in the room. (Not a negative) Limited ability to converse in English, but extremely willing to make an effort to provide information. Only japanese breakfast serverd in the hotel restaurang. Drinks automat did not have much too choose, no cola, no fanta. No free wifi in the room only in the lobby. Room was very small for 2 people with luggage but this is quite normal for Japan. The hotel was a little walk away from the subway station. i know i could have requested one, but having an iron and ironing board would have been handy. WIFI is working only at the reception desk. smelt a bit smokey - not use to this in our home country so was difficult to get used to. No wardrobe in our room, makes things messier. Otherwise no complains. Restaurant unappealing in appearance and food. No window view. Breakfast rather expensive. i requested non smoking room but in the room have the smell of smoke. No view of outside. rooms are pretty small. no room for cases in small double room. a bit pricey. the wireless was not working. Very small room! Free wifi in room would be nice given it is free in the lobby. Standard rooms are too small, and double beds aren't really double. In the room you can't spend too much time, because there is place for the bed, the suitcase and nothing else. Very small room for a triple room. No closet to store suitcases. Motel 6 in US would look like a luxury hotel compared to this.
