The hotel is well located, Shibuya is a few minutes walking distance. And even when you head to the other side, there are some nice areas. The rooms are small, but well, its Japan. if you have large luggage don't take the economy rooms. But the beds are good (small though) and everything is very clean, but this is also as the hotel is only 6 months old. They have wireless in the rooms which is also good. Also, there is a cute little place accross the street for breakfast, and if you walk a litt.

Situated in a lively area (although very busy with hoards of people and plenty of noise) with lots of cool small restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel staff was also happy to store our luggage for some time both before and after our stay, which was greatly appreciated. The service was excellent and they made me feel very welcome. A friendly and helpful staff that I'm sure you would enjoy getting to know. Also this hotel is in a great location, easy to find in an international hub Shibuya, It is also 30 mins walk from Ropppngi another famous district that also contains Tokyo Tower. It is also 5 mins walk from main JR Station and many other main lines. i love the APA dogenzaka location and being within walking distance of Shibuya Mark City, train/subway/bus transportation, limousine bus to Narita and Haneda was great. The APA hotel rooms were small but perfect for short stay in Tokyo. The staff were extremely helpful despite my limited knowledge of Japanese language. The staff was very helpful. They where able to assist me even though I do not speak Japanese at all. The hotel was very clean and in a great location. As more people mention, one elevator for 14 floors isn't ideal, there is no view (but how much time do you spend in the room) and if you're not used to it, the bed is really small for 2 people (think it was 120/130cm). The staff speaks poor english, but that is also an issue throughout Japan. The rooms are very small, but so were the other hotel rooms we stayed at in Tokyo. There is about a half a mile walk to the nearest subway station (but it's actually quite welcome since the Shibuya crossing is so insanely hectic). The hotel has no seating area in the lobby, which might not feel so welcoming if you have to wait for your room to be ready. My only complaint is that my window faced the wall of another building that was only a few feet away. Although its a minor issue as you shouldn't be spending that much time in the room anyway and it still managed to let a lot of natural light in. Breakfast isn't great but you have everything right outside the door in tokyo anyway. Room really tiny for two ppl but that's common in Tokyo. Room is small. Bathroom is tiny and has a weird set up. Service staff were terrible!! I'll give one example: they didn't know this thing called the Narita Express existed & advised me on taking the jr lines to Narita Airport, which would have involved numerous transfers (with luggage and a backpack) & twice the time required. This is unacceptable, considering Shibuya Station is barely 15 minutes from your hotel!! Didn't help they were highly unfriendly during check-in either; not exactly the kind of welcome I was expecting. - Not a single translation in the room (document or Tv Nav, etc ...) - Very small room (around 10m2) - View on a building - Breakfast : only for japanese / Absolutely not for continental people (hard to have some bred, no cerals, no fruits, no yogurt, ...) - Only 1 lift for 140 rooms : you have to take your time in the morning to go down - No bar / casual place to read / surf on the web / take a drink - bad soundproofing with your neighbor - No international TV. The cleaning staff need to standardize their service. rooms twice the price of Dormy Inn and were smaller and less facilities.
