I booked this hotel because of its good reviews and after staying there for four nights, I can say that I'm not surprised that it is rated so highly. In this price range this hotel is perfect. Firstly the location, right between Harajuku and Shibuya. Also if you cross the road by the footbridge coming out of the alley in which the Dormy Inn is located, and then head into the back alleys around Omotesando Street, you're in an amazing area in terms of shops and food. Furthermore the staff is extr.
all reviews » - Good location. The hotel is near Harajuku station, Omotesando and Meiji Shrine. Despite of not be located in the major street there´s a sign pointing the hotel direction that makes very easy to find it. - Wonderfull staff! They were very nice and helped me a lot. Specially one of the employes helped a lot teaching me ho to go to Kawaguchiko. - Free water. - The room is compact but very cosy. Good bathroom, nothing to report. Behind my room was the train line but I couln´t listen nothing. Was . We were warmly greeted at the reception and were able to leave our bags in reception before check-in. The hotel is ideally located, near the big park and shrine, in the shopping district but with smaller streets nearby. Reasonably priced- we loved the traditional baths, this is a true spa experience and well worth booking the hotel for this. The baths are single sex, so there are two. There were floating lemons in the perfectly warm bath, jazz music playing and there is also a sauna (with Japan. The staff was friendly and ready to help you as much as possible. The rooms were nice (maybe too small if you plan to stay for long), clean and comfy. The hotel is exactly 10 minutes walk away from Shibuya and Meiji-jingumae. Free wi-fi available. You can choose between Japanese (my favorite) and Western (quite 'particular') breakfast, but there's also a wide selection of food from the buffet. Every night, from 09:30 P.M. till 11 P.M., you can get a free bowl of ramen (it was good!). Everything - this was my 3rd time staying at Dormy Inn Shibuya and I love it. The staff are lovely, the rooms are comfortable and the location is very close to our office. I also love the onsen. In my past 2 stays, I was given a room with a bathtub/shower which was a little difficult to fit into as I am very tall. This time they gave me a shower which was perfect. Word of advice, if you are tall request a room with shower only. Free wifi in the bedroom, complete set of toiletries with a hairbrush, good coffee and tea in the room, free use of good quality home/loungewear, delicious semi-buffet breakfast, free delicious ramen at night, free use of onsen/sauna, free bikes, spacious room (for Japan standards), friendly and knowledgeable staff, interactive map in the lobby, spacious and tastefully designed lobby, spacious toilet and bath, great location. Friendly staff, great hospitality with free sumptuous breakfast and free ramen supper. Free access to public bath to soak your tired body in the soft water after a long walking day. Free electric bicycle rental. Free wifi. The chic "Cat Street" which showcase the city's latest fashion is just across the street! There is nothing more to ask for, Will definitely stay here again on our next trip!. The rooms were very functional and the bed was very comfortable. It is not super close to the subway, but it's within walking distance to both Harajuku and Shibuya. Breakfast was good, and although I didn't get to try it, they offer free soba for supper. I booked my Mum and her sister into this hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating with things like receiving luggage at the hotel a few days ahead of arrival and generally looking after them. No negatives except maybe some English channels on the tv might be nice hotel in a great spot near to Shibuya and Harajuku the rooms are small but comfy, very clean, and the Onsen is the best . The distance from the nearest subway and train stations is a little far to walk if someone has a lot of heavy luggage, but it is close enough that taking a taxi might seem a bit of a waste. There was a lack of storage in the room, i.e. drawers for clothes, as we there for five nights and wanted to unpack. Pre-paying for hotel on check-in. We didn't understand why they couldn't take a holding deposit like every other hotel I have ever stayed at. Meant we had to pay again on check-out for any other charges. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. The location is quite far away and Shibuya station does not have elevator or escalator. You need to pick your huge luggage up to stair. The breakfast is not very common nor very western. Poor breakfast, both in choice and location (the latter is an empty conference room, if you are not lucky enough to find one of the available few seats in the main room) Small rooms. I wish it was closer to a train station, but that can't be too big of a complaint. Breakfast was a little borring. It's hard to find if you are not taking a taxi. Some noise could be heard from the train tracks. Located next to a small cemetery and my room was closest to the fire exit which faces the cemetery. Leaving. Not that close to train station. Although we took the jr instead of the subway. Rooms are quite small. Nothing. I wish it were easier to catch a bus for sightseeing or being picked up and taken to the airport by bus. Location far from publication station. Expensive.
