  -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.... what people say » - Friendly, helpful staff - Great location - few minutes away from the main tourist areas, but far enough so that it was very quite - Room was lovel - Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

  The apartment was very centrally located with excellent connection or walking distance to all main attractions. Very clean and with sufficient facilities to stay even for a few days. Staff was very pleasant and responsive - they were in touch with us over e-mail to confirm exact arrival time and gave tips on e.g. public transport. The air conditioning coped with the warm weather, the kitchen had everything we needed, and our bed was very comfortable.

The hotel was spotless and breakfast plenty and delicious. They provided locked up baggage servic - The staff could not do enough for us and treated us like silk worms. Nothing was a problem. Directions, hints, tips and must see all explained thoroughly. I was nervous about getting from the airport on our own, but the directions were very clear and the hotel easy to find. The location was perfect between the Rialto and St Marco square-we couldn't have picked better! Very impressed with how friendly the staff are and how welcomed we felt. They carried our bags up the stairs (yes, stairs, no elevator), but what do you expect for a smaller and quiet little nest out in the heart of Venice. Wifi is free and its fast!!!   We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment in Castello. The location was excellent, especially since we were visiting the Biennale exhibit and both Arsenale and Giardine are close. After traveling for awhile it was nice to have our own apartment. Rocky met us at the vaporetto stop, walked us to the apartment , helped us settle in.   Excellent location: 8 minutes from train station, 3 minutes vaporetto stop, 5 min to mini supermarket, 30 min walking to Realto Market. Plenty inexpensive cafe just 2 min. Very quiet, good sleep after busy day. Clean and safe area. Sergio (owner) and his wife very friendly, gave us good tips on visit.   The apartment was very close to the Strada Nouva as stated in the website. It was a nice, clean and comfortable apartment. The staff at Grimaldi Apartments were pleasant and helpful. The Ca'd'ro water bus stop was about 5 minutes walk or less. The appartment was spacious, 1 bedroom with lots of storage closets and one living room, spacious enough for 4 people (2 adults 2 kids in our case). Anna answered all our questions and was very helpful.
