We loved that it was so easy to get to and from the Realto Bridge for arrivals and departures and for additional day trips... It was wonderful to be able to walk to and fro to San Marco's Square and despite the close proximity, the price was very reasonable. We totally loved the staff there; especially Daniele, Maribelle and Davy. They were so very helpful we couldn't have asked for any better. The hotel was spotless and breakfast plenty and delicious. They provided locked up baggage servic.
all reviews » The staff could not do enough for us and treated us like silk worms. Nothing was a problem. Directions, hints, tips and must see all explained thoroughly. I was nervous about getting from the airport on our own, but the directions were very clear and the hotel easy to find. The location was perfect between the Rialto and St Marco square-we couldn't have picked better! Very impressed with how friendly the staff are and how welcomed we felt. The room looked just like the photo on the website and . We (mother and adult daughter) loved this place. Federico and Michael were very friendly and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean and everything worked. We were in the annex which felt like we had our own studio. Breakfast was in the main hotel and was superb - the area is small but the food on offer more than made up for that. Very central location made sight seeing so easy. Would definitely stay again. The location of the hotel is excellent as we could easily walk from San Marco with our luggage on our arrival from the airport. Rialto bridge is also only 2-4 mins away. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were furnished very well. We stayed with a 2 yr old kid in the room right next to the reception, and the staff had no problem providing warm milk even during the middle of the night when my kid woke up. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were charming. There is Venetian glass, mirrors and chandeliers throughout the hotel (we even had a lovely chandelier in our room). The hotel is in an excellent location--just a minute's walk from the Rialto bridge in one direction and in the other direction straight down the street you hit San Marco piazza. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location was perfect. We could walk to all the interesting places. The staff very efficient and friendly. They accommodated every request and the breakfast menu was generous and good. My husband celebrated his birthday and there was a bottle of wine, a platter of fruits, nuts and a birthday card in our room when we returned. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Luca. Very good location near San Marco (3 minutes walk), big and clean apartment with all needed staff. We booked a room in the hotel, but the host gave us separated apartment with 2 rooms and kitchen which is situated near the hotel, for the same price. Very nice and helpful host. Absolutely nothing. directions for finding the hotel were not very good - and it is consequently quite difficult to find. The breakfast room was rather cramped and small. Beds a bit hard. the breakfast was a bit scarce very limited space between the tables. It's always expensive Venice. All good. As the streets in Venice are rather narrow and we had window to the streer, early in the morning it was aittle noisy. None. Maybe breakfast room a bit small but always a table for us and breakfast very good. The breakfast could have been a bit more extensive. There were too many mosquitos in the room. Far too many crevices in the beams for them to hide in. We were awake with bites. ??. Loved everything. The walls are thin and the noise from gondolas going through the canal especially during early parts of the morning was disturbing. A bit expensive, but worth the price if you want to experience Venice. Tiny tiny bathroom. Hard to sit on toilet without smacking your head on the sink. The shower is perhaps 2x2 feet, so pretty claustrophobic and can't wash your feet. I don't think a large person could even get into the shower stall. The dust bunnies were large and fierce. The room needed a good cleaning - we were there 5 days and the bunnies kept multiplying. Fridge in bedroom not working fridge in annex kitchen not working. Room was a bit noisy right next to front desk and breakfast room. No elevator. N/A. Expensive. There is too much noise in the room coming both from the street and even more from the counter and dinning room right outside of the room. Everything was fine. No lift or luggage assistant so I have to carry our heavy luggage two floors.
