Location is great, staff are friendly. We were upgraded to a magnificent large room at no extra charge. The hotel is on a quiet street close to San Marco square. With outside tables by a picturesque canal and with tables in an interior courtyard this hotel is our idea of a perfect place to stay in Venizia. Lots of Hot water for showers, and an excellent included breakfast. Excellent location and it was good to be a little away from the main thoroughfare traffic, very comfortable and it was fantastic that there was a kettle in the room where I could have a cup of tea. It is the only hotel I have been in in Europe where I could do this.

Perhaps an easy location map to allow customers to more easily locate the hotel in what is a busy place with so many small passage ways, canals and bridges. I suggest target points from which to locate the hotel. There was a kettle provided in the room but we had to ask for teabags etc and there was no instant coffee available. Our room was in another building/hotel. Even though it was not far fromthe original location on the website/map, it was not exactly where wewere expecting. The porter took our luggage to the water bus stop, wewere not told/did not ask about the set fee which was expensive 25 Euro. no. website stated hotel had a bar.. this was not the case. The breakfast room was too crowded.The desk is staffed by only one person, who was extremely busy, so it was difficult to feel comfortable taking up some of their time to get some insider information on restaurants, etc. The decor and quality of the furniture in the bedroom couldn't be faulted - it was excellent. However, the room could have been bigger. It was dark and very hard to move around.the size of the room. Wireless network only worked in reception area. The only things as mentioned above was the bathroom though it is fine and I believ they are making ammendments. Also where the tea making facilities were there wasn't a socket and this had to plugged into a socket near the door. Very minor details for such a wonderful hotel. The price was more than we have paid in other european cities but seemed normal for Venice.Staff rather off hand on our last day. The bathroom floor needed mopped, it smelled of urine quite strongly. Other than that we had a very nice stay.II wasn't sure exactly what the difference between a superior and "normal room" was? I saw the other rooms and they actually had much better views than ours and I couldn't see what I paid extra for?.

For any excursion, inform the hotel 7 days before, in order to guarantee a place. The excursion to Murano Island is provided individually to every guest from 09:00 to 13:00 hours. It is a motor boat trip along the Venice canals and the lagoon, passing the famous cemetery of San Michele. The trip also includes a free visit to the first glass factory of Venice built in 1389. After the visit to the Master Glass you can visit the museum and see some old antiques of the republic. The return ticket is not included.
