  Jimmy & Mary were wonderful. We got in about an hour before sunset and didn't want to drive back into Kinsale. Mary recommended the Sparkle Door about 2 miles up the road where we had the best meal of our entire trip. Homemade tomoto soup and fish chowder and amazing salmon and fish and ships. There was lots to see in the area and many restaurants/pubs to eat out. The main reason for our visit was to see the area where my Grandfather had been taken as a survivor of the Lusitania sinking during WW1. Unfortunately the museum in Kinsale was closed so we did not get to see the information, about my Grandfather, that we had provided for the museum. The owners of the B&B were wonderful people and helped us any way that they could.

The breakfast is provided by the Lemon Leaf Cafe which is attached to (and is entered by guests internally) the guest house is light, airy, homely and offers good food. If you like quaint shops, places to eat and drink on the doorstep we would recommend Tierneys! - We stayed in a twin room. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean and nicely presented.   The manager Peter was fantastic he works hard but makes sure everyone was well looked after I hope the owners appreciate his great work and all of the staffs great work - Great location...steps from everything, but not right in the center.
