The hotel is built round a small courtyard, if you have a room facing inwards as I did and the windows have been left open on corridors of other floors it seems any slight sound travels up through the centre of the building, every door slam and conversation on the lower floors could be heard on the 5th.I thought the rooms had a bit of a dirty feel to them. I belive theywere pretty clean but they could improve a lot just by replacing thecarpet which looks dirty. Did not like that the bed was just 2 twin bedspushed together. The shower ran bouts of ice cold water in the middle of a warm shower. I hope they fix this, as it's very unpleasant in a December winter, shampooing your hair in a warm shower and being shocked with spray of ice cold water in between!. one chair was broken, there was not a comfortable place to just sit. The breakfast buffet, though large, was not all that appetizing. The hotels doesn't really seem to be a 4-star hotel. I would give it 3 stars.housekeeper forget to give us towels!. it should consider of renovating in any time soon, interned speed should be quite faster. Tiny lifts! Web site mentioned terrace and garden, but couldn't find at hotel! Had to search for bar staff several times!.

Travelling information

Parthenon Hotel is about 50 minutes away by taxi from the Elefhterios Venizelos Airport and the fair costs approx. 20 euros.

We would not recommend you to use a car since the location of the hotel (Acropolis) has been transformed to pedestrian precinct and it will be very difficult to find a parking space (parkings are very expensive in the area) but if you insist, take the Attiki odos motorway towards Elefsina and then take the exit No 11 (Kiffisias) towards Athens. Then follow the Kiffisias Avenue which turns to Vassilisis Sofias Avenue and then turns in to Vassileos Constadinou. Turn right at Vassilikos Olgas Avenue and then left to Vassilisis Amalias Avenue. The hotel is located on your right hand at the Dionisiou Aeropagitou pedestrian precinct which leads to the Acropolis.

Alternatively, take the Subway from the Airport towards the terminal Monastiraki. Get off at Syntagma station. Then take the red line towards Agios Dimitios and get off at the Acropolis Station. The hotel is a 150 meters walk.
