- very close to KuDamm shopping street - very close to subway and train station - very close to Berlin ZOO - hotel quite new & modern - very friendly and attentative staff - delivered my marathon breakfast at 0430AM at my request (menu not in the card) THANKS. Hotel is new one so everything was ok.Very friendly and helpfull staff,big rooms with nice view to the city,comfortable beds and Nespresso coffee machine;) Very good breakfasts. Great location near Kudamm. My advice-go there for vacation as soon as possible!!.
all reviews » Excellent location. New and elegant hotel with fantastic Guerlain spa area. We used the junior suite on the 14th floor with great views of the Berliner Zoo. Gorgeous library with a bar in the 15th floor. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything generally was pleasant, but, proceeding from positioned price category, the hotel doesn't have enough warmth: in work of team there is no coordination and an orientation on uniform result. This was an exceptional stay. We booked an executive room and was upgraded to a Mini Suite, magnificent bathroom and facilities and the staff could not do enough to please. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ability to hire good bikes at the hotel was great. The pool area and the library bar with great view of Berlin were fantastic. The room and the view are great. Can see the whole zoo and big green down there. New hotel still has many management problem . Guess most of the stuff there are new as well. Employee's way of excusing themselves for this mediocrity is unacceptable at a hotel from Waldorf Astoria It was even embarrassing for myself to make him print the bill 3 times after finding mistake after mistake. Never staying there again. The price for breakfast didn't reflect in the quality and the food served. The menue was poor, other than this the hotel was great. we stayed half the week at the ritz carlton and the other at the astoria, hands down the ritz was much better at roughly the same price. the astoria seems to be a work in progress, many of the slick modern features dont work, room was airless and stuffy and felt cramped despite being a big room, the hallway and the bathroom take up a large amount of space. at this price level there are better hotels in berlin. Internet was a rip off, Bike rental was a rip off, they charge you like a wounded bull. Over priced. Lacked a bit of soul.
