Stayed in Berlin for Depeche Mode at O2 World, so location was excellent, about 10 mins walk away. Also close-by are very good transport links. Was very pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful it was, when in our room. Another bonus was free Wi-Fi and also free to use terminals in lobby area with facilities for print outs. Overall this hotel was superb value for money and I would have no hesitation staying here again. In fact, we're already thinking about a trip back to Berlin for maybe nex.
all reviews » Located in Friedrichshain, very near U and S-Bahn stations. The area is a bit edgy with lots of night-life....but it still felt safe. Excellent facilities with a modern lobby. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Interesting historical building with an amazing courtyard in centre of the building. Double rooms had a/c which was greatly appreciated in a heat wave. The ceilings were very high in the rooms giving them a very spacious feel. Double room had a large bathroom wth a big showe. Everything about this hotel is great. The price, the location, the staff, the facilities - it's all faultless. And for £29 a night - you really can't go wrong! Absolutely amazing hotel for a city break. Wouldnt hesitate to stay there again or in any of the other hotels in this chain. There was quite a young atmosphere which we liked. The location is also great. It's about a 5 minute (or less) walk from a train station which is on the main line and there's also a Lidl very nearby (about 2 mins w. Just perfect if you want to be central in the alternative scene of Berlin, easy to reach city center and all relevant places to visit. Hotel is great, "recycle-art" style, volumes, great personnel and restaurant bar. Rooms are just what you need, simple but with spacious, a good matras, a great furnished bathroom and a warm pressurised shower! ..Even a tv ... but obviously you're not in Berlin to stay in your room... The location is very good: the end stops of U1 and tram lines M10/M13 and the S-Bahn station is a few hundred meters away which is the fastest way to get to the Alexanderplatz. We spend 5 nights there. Would recommend to anyone! Rooms were big, only thing missing is that there's no drinking glasses or minibar/fridge in the rooms. (That would be an excellent add-on) but luckily there's general store quite nearby. The hotel is really great!. Clean, designed. I had twin room, but it was very large with two big beds and there was also big sofa. Very good location, 1 min to a supermarket LIDO, 2 min to line U, and 5 min to line S5 and S7. They goes every 5 minutes, so you can easily get whenever you want. There is billiard, swimming pool and other free activities. There are also vending mashing where you can by drinks, bear and snaks. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel superbly converted from part of early 20th century "Osram" lighting factory, so the building is a treat in itself. Very lively and youthful atmopshere, but not so as to make other guests - we are 67 and 65 - feel excluded, and not too noisy. We had city trip and the location of the hotel is close to u and s bahn, it will take 10 min to get to Alexander platz. From Tegel airport is going the bus to Zoo or Alexander platz and then you can get to the hotel by S-bahn (s7, s5,s75 direct lines) ( 4 or 5 station). We were only one night in Plus Berlin and were very sorry that will not book two nights there. The hostel is in a fantastic location very close to the East side gallery, and loads of really cool bars. I’d definitely recommend this hostel if you want to stay in a fantastic location with a really cool nightlife scene. The swimming pool and sauna were really clean as were the bedrooms. And we loved the rabbits in the garden! I would highly recommend this hostel. The family room was huge, the bathroom as well, everything simple and clean. And the hotel environment very nice, we met a lot of ppl from everywhere. We really liked... the location was very good, though wasnt close to the center but in front of a train station, Ubahn and Sbahn, and the area was also good for partying , a lot of bars and close to a big club!. First of all the receptionists, but also the waiters in the bar and the restaurant are kind and do all their best to make your staying pleasant the room was large and clean, the bathroom featured a king sized shower and there was also a safe box in the wardrobe. The rooms were clean and the location is right at Warschauer U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations so transport to and from the centre of Berlin is very easy, plus there is still plenty to do in the area that you will be staying. Excellent for a family city break. We had a good-size room with two single beds and two bunk beds plus an ensuite with shower. The hotel is a converted school - so not five-star luxury - but it is great value for money and has a swimming pool and restaurant, so ideal for us. A very big hostel and hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, clean, excellent facilities, gaming room/lounge, sauna and pool, free yoga, vending machines, restaurant, bike rent etc etc. I spent the night in one of the triple room with private bathroom. It was very roomy and clean. Close to station as well. Atmosphere was great, stylish lots of art around the place, very comfortable beds, very clean, practical, great games room, bar and restaurant were good quality and comfortable. The who,e place exceeded my expectations, it felt very safe very friendly, and the pool was an super added bonus. The inner garden area is pretty nice for relaxing in the evenings (open till 23:00). Lots of youthful and lively customers, for some people this can be a negative but for me it was a plus. Pretty close to the U- and S-bahn lines. Only three stops with the S-bahn to the Alexanderplatz. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable, enjoyable stay. This hotel is situated on the boarder of Eastern Berlin neer the most interesting part of the Wall. There are lots of bars and restaurants in 500 m to the Nord and subway/railway stations in 100 m - cool! Good hotel/hostel for students, because its style is young-oriented. We loved the location which was very convenient for getting around the city, the staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming, the breakfast (although a bit expensive) was delicious and the rooms were gorgeous. We only wish we'd had longer to sample the pool and the yoga!. A home away from home for today's backpacking community, in a great and spacious landmark building with lots of amenities, good value for money and friendly international staff. We had a clean triple room with a lot of space and really high ceiling. A personal safe is provided. Helpful staff. Own isolated parking. Very close to the East Side Galery. The pool was nice to have, but the blue lighting made it feel a bit sketchy and dark. The bedroom could have been better lit (there were only lamps - no actual ceiling lights) but this was a very minor issue and there are so many positives that this didnt matter at all. Nothing I could complain about. One thing maybe, walls are kind of paper thick...so people coming back late and speaking loud might slightly disturb you if you're a light sleeper...nothing really bad. A neutral comment, rather than a criticism: we stayed for 5 days and the room was not serviced. The staff were not particularly friendly. They also let themselves into our room when we were inside without waiting for us to open the door to them. 10am is quite late for the swimming pool to open, and equally the bar seems to shut quite early. The beds could have been a little more comfortable and they were very *squeaky* whilst moving around at night. Not ideal when in a twin room. 1) the wifi did not work in our room. There was a field (according to the icon on my iphone) but, for reasons I cannot understand, we could not get the IP address. 2) the water in the swimming pool was too cold and made its use unconfortable 3) the beds were too noisy: at every movement of the body the wooden platform beneath the mattress squeaked as loudly as a sinking vessel. The beds were very loud (and I mean that in the most innocent way possible!) even turning or rolling over while lying down made a loud creak because it seemed as though the bed was a mattress sitting on some sort of creaky plywood box. The shower was awkward to use; even on the coldest setting it still produced really hot water at times and as it is stuck to the wall, you couldn't take it down while you sorted the temperature. Pool a bit too chilly but not unbearable - we swam every day!. wifi connection was bad at 2 last days το wifi επεσε τις τελευταιες 2 μερες... Nothing thought it was amazing value for money. My room was on the building's front side (facing the Warschauer Platz) and the close by Matrix club's bass music could be heard in the room even through ear plugs. And the club doesn't close until 06:00 or something, so it can cause sleeping problems if you are a light sleeper. I would imagine the rooms on the other sides of the building don't have the problem as much. Nothing!. It was very cold at night because room is large, but central heating and air-conditioner didn't work. The second minus is terrible shower. It is set into ceiling and very uncomfortable. Buffet breakfast for 6 or 8 euro could have had some more options. Nothing to say. nothing really that would be that important. Weak wi-fi signal in peak hours. Very minimalistic rooms. Sometimes there is a long queue in the reception (maybe more staff should be employed), but overall is great!. while we were there the emphasis was on large, teenage, school groups so the bar area was a little rowdy for families although this noise did not travel around the hotel. Food was more functional than good quality in keeping with its budget-friendly perception. Our room is quite deep inside the hall way and since I am not that brave I was a little scared the first time to find our room, you can ask for a room which is close to the elevator than it will be perfect.^^. It's a shame there was no kettle in the room. Nothing!. Breakfast was average and could perhaps be included in price. Wifi is good in the public areas, but not so much in some of the rooms. There are no lifts to 4th floor rooms. nothing. Beds are quite hard but after a long day sightseeing you should have little problem getting off to sleep. No issues. Thanks for the booking. Would stay there again. lack of sound proofing let to altercations with the people in the next room and their 3am debating matches.. With such a huge room, it all was a little sparse.. and while they say hotel/hostel some things like a tea and coffee facilities in room should be there. And the wifi.. no signal. - Floor cleaning in the room could be better - The air conditioner was not working but they quickly replaced it with a heater which was good enough. There were fleas in the room. Some of the students staying there were a bit noisy, but it wasn't a big problem. It could be like this anywhere in the world. If you want to see Berlin, go out!. The location is far away from the historic center if you like to walk your way around. The breakfast wasn't a blast.
