Ease of access day and night. Friendly staff at all levels. Locationnear the Gard du Nord as stated was a major point. very clean, nice rooms, good breakfast, great location. Ventilation in the bathroom could be a little bit better.Hotel just seems run down - room was clean on the surface but needed painting, better ventilation in the bathroom, and a more thorough cleaning. I'm not sure what to expect in Paris for this price so perhaps this is what I could find elsewhere also. no towels in room, then when they did come, the quality was very poor. Fire escape was terrifyingly by the staircase in the same circular well as the lift!! Like that forty years ago, but thought that regulations might have changed!! We didn't realise that there were gust reviews to read. Very small room and bathroom, radiator didnt work and wasnt repaired.The reception area needed a total refurbishment. Breakfast was also rather poor. Room a bit overheated, limited control over radiator. Hot drinks machine didn't work. the way the toilet was placed was not comfortable. i had read the reviews so was totaly prepared for the muskysmell and out of date decor. The bathroom was a little narrow, and as we were two people, the towels were not enough. They left two big towels and only 1 hand towel.
