Nice Art Hotel is a very nice hostel for backpackers or people who have limited budget, and is located right in the center of Nice (very close to the train station). I stayed there for 3 nights, and enjoyed it because the bed was comfortable and the facilities were clean. The most important thing to add is that the staff was extremely nice and helpful!. It was clean and nice, I've had a lot of great roommates during my stay. It was safe to leave my stuff in the room and not to worry about it. The WCs and the showers are relatively clean. The breakfast is good. If you are looking for cheap but reasonable place to sleep - go for it!.

The location is perfect for those who like travelling by train. Close to the station and provided the opportunity to add on a value for money French style breakfast. Location and freshly painted room. the shared bathroom was clean and had a great shower. very good location, helpful staff. I stayed in a female room for 4 beds. Free wifi with a normal speed (I used my mini I-pad), after 19.00 check-in is made at the nearest hotel at the corner. Till 3 a.m. you can use computers and internet downstairs. Best price ever for those who do not care much of the comfort and spend the daytime outside. Hostel is very close to train station and supermarket Monop (which works until 12pm). Its also near the city center. Double bed room we were in was quite spacious for a hostel. Air conditioning worked well. I only have one regret, it is the unlockable W.C in the common bedroom. I stayed only one night so I dealed with it, but my bed was in front of its door (that meant "very close" to the door) and that couldn't be closed totally, nor locked, and that was a bit disappointing. And the soace of the W.C is really small. Then other little point, one plug for 4 mates is not enough. But anyway, that a recommendable hostel!. There was just ONE shower for all the guests during my stay. It was very uncomfortable regarding that. Also the reception in the hotel is until 3 pm, and then you have to go to the Best Western. They should have someone until 6 or 7 pm minimum. As a family we had a double room and triple room, which were on separate floors and with no lift, up and down stairs all the time. We thought the sitting area would be available all hours, but it is closed for the evening. one toilet for the entire floor was not enough.... the street noise was unbelievably loud and the aircon did not work...the common area was only only in the morning. WIFI is weak. no door for the in-room toilet. There is few space, enough only to drop your bags and sleep. Showers are not in the best condition, but more or less ok for those who are not too pretencious. There is no kitchen for guests. Common space is small. Receptionist wasnt very talkative in either English or French, with only one advice-go to tourist information centre at the train station. Small room, old looking bathroom. I didn't like that there was no towel for dormitory rooms and I didn't like that in the female dormitory I found a man sleeping. at the room for 4 people there was only 1 power socket toilets and shower aren't marked on the scheme of hostel and can only take one person at a time no lockers in the hostel. The bathroom was too small, so many mosquitos. I shouldn't be complaining much since this is a hostel, and there are only a few of them as close to the city centre as this one. There are a few niggles like unclean sheets, no towel, spotty Wi-Fi and lack of storage facility - but the hostel is definitely worth a stay if you're on a budget. near hotel were dirty plays, no lift in hotel. Bathrooms were too small, hard to take a shower. No light bulbs in the room, just some small lights in the walls. Breakfast. I complained about the shower falling off the wall and the washbasin not draining (disgusting). Was not received well. Then it started leaking from the ceiling above. -Double Room was very very small - added on plastic bathroom without roof (we could hear each other going to the toilet). -Lets steam into the rest of the room where the bed is! -Paperthin walls - could hear conversations from next door who were not talking loud. -Could hear other guests skyping in the hallway! -How can you call yourselves an 'Art' hotel with one dodgy painting on the wall??? Really???. we booked a double room and got a twin instead. They moved us into a double for our second night, but after being in the room (which was on the fourth floor with no elevator) for 5 minutes we booked another hotel, because the toilet didn't work. The bathroom in the twin room was small and was not enclosed. Half of the shower screen was also missing, so the floor became very wet. The toilet in the hotel room did not have door neither they had any common toilets in the passage :(..I had to go to the train station for using the toilet... No lifts narrow stairway. Had to put shoulder to the door to open it as it was stuck. Toilet wasn't operating wouldn't flush. Went and booked into Best Western next where staff were fantastic. Thielse the trainee was excellent very friendly and competent. Water to take a shower was nos good. Either too hot or too cold. The reception and tv area closes every day at 7 pm. The reception is on the Best Western Hotel, 200meters away. The reception people there dont want to see you, becUse you come from a lower hostel how they call it and treat you like a desease. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE there are mu h better options around. Everything. Bordelis. Also if is a chep hotel you should find a clean bed ( just the bed not all the room ) but nothing. I hope letsbookhotel.com will remove them from the web site. Run away from this place!! Ceiling in the hallway can kill you, bathroom is terible, don't open windows its broken... The Bathroom was VERY small and dirty. Water to take a shower was not good. Either too hot or too cold. For check in, you need to go to "Best Western" hotel next to "Nice Art Hotel". We asked for two small spoons and they refused to give us claiming that they can only do that at breakfast time ! (??). Rooms stinks, shower disgusting, I had to change room.
