Everything was arranged as promissed. We camo very late, but code to the door was send by e-mail and SMS (that was very convenient). Pica bar downstairs was exelent place for late dinner. We benefited having tea in room, as we where traveling with kids. just value for money if you want location cose to center. It is a lot of place for parking just next to hotel enterance, which is free of charege from 18:00 till 9:00 in morning.
all reviews » The hotel is situated in the historical heart of the city, so it's easy to get wherever you want. There's a pizzeria on the ground floor and many shopping centers nearby. The room was not very big, but it has two separated areas, for sleeping and for dining. There's no kitchen, but you can warm up pre-cooked meals (there are plenty of them in the supermarket) in the microwave. Great room with lush underfloor heating in bathroom and really good shower. Bed lovely n comfy. Huge room and very central. We walked everywhere. Great cafe next door that does breakfast for hotel guests. I reccomend their lunch if you like mixed healthy salads. Really good value all round. I would definitely book again. I loved the position! Really easy to get to it, so close to city center, no need of bus or metro. The self- check in sistem is actually pretty cool, you feel like you are at home. The room is big enough, including all you can need: coffee maker,hair dryer,microwave. It was also very clean, but I stayed only for 2 nights. The service was seamless: the door codes were delivered in time, all the doors opened, the room was clean, all the facilities promised (microwave, hairdryer, kettle) were in order, so I had no reason to call the support service even once. Also the place was calm and peaceful.I Really loved it. Overall, value for money. Location was very central to city (3 min walk!) and it was handy having a microwave in the room (and wifi). Following their instructions was straightforward, and actually having a pin to enter was easier than carrying a key! Images of room online are accurate. Very good location, a few minutes walk to Helsinki center. Has a Koti Pizza downstairs which is very handy. The rooms were very clean and modern and came with a microwave as well as a fridge and tea and coffee. The bed was a good size and we heard no noise despite facing a busy road. The hotel is situated at the centre of the city, quite near the main railway station and Ateneum art gallery. A small supermarket and a fast-food café is just next door to the hotel. In the room there is everything necessary, though, it was not cosy. There was plenty of space in the room for three people with luggage. The shower was a good size, with a powerful showerhead and plenty of hot water. The hotel location was excellent for walking to the Central Rail Station and bus/tram stops. Location was excellent. Rooms were comfortable but not lavish. Great place to stay beds were quite comfortable. Handy to downtown Helsinki. Easy to access trains, busses, trams....We had one problem room which was well taken care of..... Positives: good location, very prompt service staff for any problems. Beyond basics the room also had a few very useful extras: a kettle, a small refrigerator and a microwave owen. Our room was large and well layed-out. I thought wifi would be enough, as seldom ask reception for help... However, I actually missed having on-site reception for silly questions (ie which way to turn for town? Answer - go right! Google maps sent me other way!). Room would be small for 3-4 people. The pillows were a little too soft but that's just personal preference and the cups available in the room are very thin plastic which isn't great for hot drinks. When we checked in to our room we found it untidy. However, when we called the help desk (a phone was on the ground floor of the hotel), they changed the room number for us, so that we finally had a clean room. We could not adjust the temperature in the room. It was very hot and made for uncomfortable sleeping arrangements at night. The TV remote also did not work. Not enough wash rags for to wash your face. We found out how to have our questions answered via phone, could have been more clearly explained. Two main negatives: one was my boyfriend finding someone else's burger crumbs under his bedsheets the first night we checked in (yuck). The other was the shower, which had some clogged jets and so it sprayed everywhere and was difficult to keep out of the eyes. no wash rags to wash your face. The room was slightly in need of maintenance. One of the panel-plates were loose, the lightswitch by the bed wasn't working, it was hard to regulate the temperature, as the thermostat on the radiator was faulty. In one of our rooms the tv did not work. We tried to call the Help desk line, but the phone number did not work!!! So we could not sort that problem which was a bit annoying. We booked on the same day we arrived, which doesn't fit into the concept of the Omena hotels. It caused a quite lengthy wait on a service phone to get things sorted out to get a room number and an entry code. The service was efficient once we got through on the phone. It could have been cleaner (floor!!!). The windows do not open. no reception to ask questions. would be handy if in email it was pointed out that there are two buildings. It may be a problem for early check-in, the door code is not valid even we told the help desk to check-in earlier, A bit small for 4 people room. no one from personnel ever visited a room to change a toilet paper or a towels for a 5 days (we stayed for a 5, so it was a whole time for us in a hotel). television did not work (but we did not actually care of that). Noises from other room and from the corridor. you hear almost everything what is going on in other rooms. Shampoo was almost empty. The code system was not easy to understand and had to use my handy to get explanation from very helpful staff.Towels should be changed every two days without having to ask. Some kind of brush for cleaning the floor should be availble. nothing. air condition is not good enough it's cold inside the room. Pillows were really too soft. Fridge did'n work , it was too warm :(. A bit dirty. Rooms are cleaned once in 5 days. Cleaning every 5 days is too seldom. Will be better once per 3 days. Help desk doesn't work. Could have been cleaner - the shower room was fine and the bedding was clean but the floor was dirty. It was the second time I stayed in Omena and both times I didn't like a kettle in the rooms. They are not good. Also it would be much more comfortable if you plastic glasses to paper. They are more ecological and less harmful for health (as it's bad for health to pour hot water in plastic glass). Plus it would be great to find on a shelf a paper plate besides glasses and forks. 1. Bedding was not changed for the entire duration of the stay (1 week!!!). Little bit warm. air-conditioner didn't work and was impossible to open window. Time of check-in Too late. No reception, code didn't work. Aparently, I booked through "letsbookhotel.com" who passed on the incorrect card number, so had no booking for 3 people and I wasn't let know before arriving. it was rather strange that there were no reception or lobby, so you don't see any staff. but as soon as you can find the phone to call them - there's no problem!). A bit dirty room, an electric cover panel was removed (dangerous). 2 times at night we were waken up because of fire alarm. So 2 times at night we had to get up, get dressed and go on the street, it was -15 there, so the impression was spoiled. the shower was broken. nobody helped us to fix it though we have asked for it: sent a message with Help Desk (on TV). No baggage storage as there is no reception. Hairdrayer was broken. There is a pizza restaurant on the ground level and sometimes the smell wasn't good enough.
