Modern hotel with beautiful design, large and confortable room with a nice view over the city, staff was helpful, breakfast was good with many choices, the shuttle from/to the airport is very convenient. The area arround the hotel is not extraordinary but it has a very good connectivity to the center of Copenhagen (just few minutes by metro) and to the airport as well (there is a train station in vicinity). Also the ECO approach looked interesting. Overall the hotel offers a lot for the price .
all reviews » Each and every employee, from Hendrik to Alexander at the front desk, to each and every server be it for the delicious breakfasts or very tasty evening meals, to all employees of a fabulous place. Also, recognizing that the Copenhagen Plaza is completely run on solar power, as well as bicycle power, reuses all non-eaten food using biodegradable methods, and provides totally organic and natural things, from all food to every cleanser. It's be absolute best hotel at which we have stayed, the ne. I never submit reviews but this hotel really impressed me. We were returning from a cruise and spent a couple of days in Copenhagen before returning home, so this location was great for us being that it is close to the airport (free airport shuttle). Metro is across the street and the city center is a few stops away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast! The room was very nice and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Excellent hotel. You can be in the most amazing place in the world but if people aren't nice it doesn't look like that. Staying at the Plaza was one of the most enjoyable experience and I can't wait to go back. You won't find such a friendly staff and people in general like there. They made our little holiday very memorable and we can't thank them enough!!. The hotel was so nice, the design was terrific. Everything was very modern and energy efficient. We were happy to have access to the gym on-site as well as a bigger one at the nearby shopping center. Access to the train into the city was very easy, you can even buy tickets at the front desk. Even though the location is not at central but it took only 7 minutes by train to go to city central. The location is excellent. It's close to metro and free airport transfer. No braskfast including in the package. We moved the bed around because we don't like to hear each other snoring and we discovered that the floor had not been vacuumed recently. We would have eaten in the dining room but it was too expensive. - We had a bizarre incident involving some of our food getting locked into the room minibar that would then not unlock, and it took 30 minutes for the staff to unlock it making us very late for an airport pick-up. In hindsight it was pretty funny, but stressful at the time. We had to explain the reason for our airport delay as: "Cheesecake"! (proving that life can be stranger than fiction!). Shower was a bit funny. Upon looking at bill was charged twice for the internet. TV volume so limited that you can't hear it. Ridiculous "glass shower wall" that allows shower water to go all over the bathroom floor. Air-conditioning didn't seem to get cool enough. Were very hot at night even though the temp indicated 18 degrees. Storm restaurant was closed during our visit. Location!! Nothing to do so I was basically forced to eat dinner at the hotel. It's a little bit far from the city center, but it's still ok, because there is a train station nearby. Shower in bathroom was designed by an idiot; dangerous to use and impossible to keep floor dry-- ridiculous for such a nice, new hotel. No swimming pool Room seemed fairly spartan. More black tea and milk in the room. Don't like the pillows. Some views are better than others. a bit far from city area. Breakfast and rooms very expensive. Also the 'pre-authorisation' for the room on my debit card has 'frozen' my bank account for a week waiting for it to clear on my account. I've Been unable to use my card or count until the pre-authorisation is reversed. Had to make numerous calls to my bank and hotel to resolve which has left me with no cash for seven days. Not happy!!!!. No pool, miles from city centre (although the metro is 5 minute walk). There were stains on the carpet and the light in the little closet kept coming on during the night. Shower temperature. Room too hot during the night - impossible to adjust the temperature. View. Only one place to eat dinner and lunch. Limited menu. Needed more information about tours, sightseeing etc. location to the city. Cleanness. The shower leaks around the glass and the floor becomes very wet. Our room was prepared only for one person (although booked for two). It took two phone calls to get another set of towels, too long. Breakfast area was rather sterile, without charm. The variety and content of the breakfast food was less than expected for a hotel that claims to be superior and luxurious. Resturant. Restaurant is poor. It is so stark that I felt I was in a museum.....not a warm environment. Food cost, breakfast and dinner cost were over the top expensive. Staff not always friendly. Cleaning without much attention, towels dropped into bathroom & beds not carefully made. Mouse on first night in the room. Not possible to open windows. Too far from city center; very unpersonal hotel. Don't eat at the hotel, meals are extremely expensive. Very regular breakfast. Poor customer service. We booked bicycles for next day since we planned a trip to the beach at 9 am directly from the hotel. When we asked for our bikes that morning we found out that they were rented 5 minutes ago even though we reserve them since the night before. No bikes available, so frustrating because we had to go to downtown (20 minutes in train) to look for a place to rent them. Bad location. Our credit card was charged for the one-night stay upon booking & I mentioned that fact to the receptionist, she acknowledged that was so. Then upon arriving home we received a credit card statement being charged again. I got in touch with the credit card company and they are looking into the double charge. I would like to hear from the hotel re: this. absolutely poor or no wifi in rooms, housekeeping service poor, rooms not made up nor cleaned properly. A bit more attention to customers.
