Superb location - right off the main square of the old city. Couldn't get a better location. Lovely duplex apartment with well fitted kitchen and living area. Split is really fabulous - fabulous old city with superb squares and sea front bars and restaurants. A real buzzy place. Also superb swimming in the beautiful Adriatic. Totally recommended. In August 2013 we never saw a cloud at all. Hired a car form the Marina area a few hundred yards from the apartment and drove down to Dubrovni.
all reviews » I arranged for the lady who I booked with to pick us up from the airport, our plane was severly delayed and she had to come much later in the end. She was extremely friendly and welcoming and in the end it also turned out that her shuttle service was much better value than a taxi. The lady who showed us the apartment was also very friendly and accomodating and the apartment itself had everything we needed as was homely. The view from the terrace of this apartment is tremendous of the promenade and provides hours of free entertainment. Sitting at the cafes on the promenade is enjoyable in itself. The situation is excellent for visiting the sights and for restaurants and shops. We enjoy a day trip to Hvar and managed without a car as everything was to hand. The apartment is very comfortable and suited our needs. We were 2 girls visiting Split for 4 nights. Absolutely great and friendly service (thank you so much Ivana and Adriana!!), with a spacious and tidy apartment. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Split, keeping in mind of course that there is some stairs to climb to the top floor but that was not a problem for us. Adriana and Ivana made me understand true Croatian hospitality. They went above and beyond in every dealing we had with them & I felt like I was staying at my favourite big sisters awesome pad not paid accommodation! The apartment is simple and lovely, perfect location and fabulous views, I would recommend highly. The apartment was a good size for two people. It was very clean and the facilities - kitchen, bathroom, storage space etc were good. It was well located in Diocletian's Palace and about 20 minutes walk to a sandy beach. The location was fantastic and the views from the terrace were great. The apartment was very spacious. It would easily suit a longer stay. very homely, spacious and loads of great amenities. The people were really helpful with informing us of what is in split. Really well presented, host was very accommodating and helped us with nearest places to see/do. There is a seafood market just opposite to the apartment. We bought a lot of fresh seafood for our dinner. By the way, it is just next to the pier. The site is excellent!!. The apartment was spacious and included the basics. The central location was very convenient for dining and seeing the palace. Our Host was friendly and gave us some good tips. Tiny bath towels Kitchen needed a coffee maker. Second bedroom no aircon Very narrow steep steps to room but fine for younger people. We stayed there in March, and one of the bedrooms didn't have a heater and so was quite cold. However, there were plenty of blankets. There are a lot of stairs to negotiate to the loft apartment, but if you are fit, the exercise is very good. The air con unit didn't cool the whole apartment as it was in the hallway. You really couldn't sit out on the balcony and the view was of the terrace of the next door apartment and the seats of a bar. The entrance way was dangerous as there was scaffolding erected, beams of wood shoring up the building and large granite stones plus no working outside light!. It was a bit hard to find our actual apartment. 5 floors to walk. Nothing. no credit card accepted. Once we found the place couldn't get a hold of the owner so had some issues getting in. With the long travel day and bad weather it was pretty stressful. Everything after was great so that really made up for it. Finding the place. A bit small and worn, but still nice. As there is no lift in the apartment, we need to carry our heavy luggages and climb many stairs to the fourth floor.... ;( It is very noisy at night. Not until midnight, the function of the plaza would never stop. The apartment didn't in any way match the photographs on their letsbookhotel.com page, and didn't include the balcony that was proudly advertised. It was also in a noisier location that indicated in the booking confirmation. The noise from the street, and bar at the back could be controlled by closing the windows; But any noise inside the building came through the doors like they were made out of tissue paper.
