all reviews » This accommodation is first class, with a great deal of thought gone into even the smallest of details. Well designed and decorated, spotlessly clean everywhere. We had a huge, comfortable bed, with extremely quiet air conditioning that kept the room at the perfect temperature and we could hear no outside noise despite the Judita Palace being in the busiest square in the old town. However, despite all this quality, it is the staff that makes staying here truly outstanding. We arrived at the bus. When we arrived at Split, Atea (sorry if not the correct name) picked us up with the golf cart (BTW, the only hotel at old town that has one!). Arriving at the hotel, Andrija was there to welcome us (he's always there!) and what a warm welcome! The boutique hotel is gorgeous; we had two rooms, one with a view to the main square (wonderful, you can open the windows to 'feel' the place, or close them, completely soundproof) and another one overlooking the cute courtyard. The hotel is very well k. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty! The room was fabulous! You really get the feeling that the staff really love Split (and rightly so!) and are proud of their boutique hotel. Each of the rooms is named after a legendary person or couple from split and there is an information booklet telling these stories which is a lovely touch and adds to the romance of the place. We arrived early and were directed to the dining to to eat complimentary breakfast. Cereals, meats, breads, cheeses, coffee/tea and eggs made to order. Our room was fantastic. Large, clean and very comfortable. Free wifi worked perfectly. Location is great in the middle of the main square area, great for our 1 night stay. A free golf-cart ride to the bus terminal was provided on depa. Carlsberg claims to be "Probably the best lager in the world”. Palace Judita doesn't claim be be the best Hotel in the world but this appears to be their aim and in my experience it probably is! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed when they matched us with another couple at the end of our stay who were going to be on the same flight as us with the aim and result of a saving to us and the other c. My husband and I bought Pag cheese (delicious cheese in Croatia) on our travels and we decided to have some while staying in Judita Palace. We sat in the terrace area and the owner and staff came over to sit with us. After 30 minutes of great conversation, the owner brought out a bottle of wine, a tomato salad and cherries from her home to share with my husband and me. We spent 4 hours ch. Andrija was fabulous from the minute we met him to the very end of our trip. The location was excellent. It was very hot and we walked into the square and there was the beautiful Palace Judita terrace with umbrellas and misters to keep us cool. They went out of their way to accomodate us, gave us excellent dinner recommendations and even went out and purchased 2 cases of wine for us for the next part of our trip. Everyone was friendly and helpful, our room was lovely, and breakfast was deliciou. The staff of Palace Judita, Maria, Andreas, Mislav were the friendliest staff we have ever encountered on our travels!!! They were simply wonderful in helping us get settled, from parking our car, bringing our heavy luggages to settling us in with helpful info. I would recommend looking for Hotel President as there are many signs around town directing you to Hotel President. Palace Judita parking is on a side road of Hotel President.
