The manager was exceptionally helpful, the free parking very convenient, as was the hotel for the tram service, which was frequent, cheap and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The location by the Sint Pieters train station was excellent, and the staff very helpful. Even though I could not get a non-smoking room, the ventilation in the room make it okay. The room was very light, clean, and airy.Very good value for money. This is how a hotel should be!!!! Very nice bubble bath, very clean. Very nice and helpfull hotel staff. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean.Very clean, excellent breakfast, good parking. Good location, available free parking, nice transportation to the centerof the city. Location, parking, cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was nice, and you could sit inside the atrium. The beds were comfortable and the staff friendly.convenient to train station, comfortable room. Easy parking (free). Available car park, the whirlpool. It was suitable for one night. A little far from the centre. Two of our party were in a room at the front and found the noise from the station disturbing, so had to close the windows, which made the room stuffy on a warm night. While other people have commented on the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, this would add to the basic cost and the drinks etc listed as available from reception were very modestly priced indeed. It is close to the bus station and railway, so sleeping with the window open is a bit noisy. Only a water cooker/coffee maker on the rooms would be a good extra, but luckily we always bring our own just in case. Not the easiest hotel to find unless on the train. There were moskitos at night in the room but when we closed the window it was too hot in the room. Seasonal problem I guess. Moskito netting may be handy. There is mosquito in the room, no fridge in the room.It was too far from the old part of Gent, and you could hear noise from the streets, construction, and voices of other guests. just know that it is a good tram ride from the city center.Preferred non smoking room, but only the last one was a smoking room.... we got a smoking room contrary to our request. Guests should be made aware of the potential noise of the trams at the front of the building, although not a problem for me, perhaps thicker curtains would lessen the noise?. Lack of air-conditioning (extremely hot and no way of airing the room at night), safety issues (broken balcony door, which allowed access to the ground floor via an external staircase, open corridor shaft leading into the room itself), no fridge, no tea-making facilities available in the room.It was adequate, if extremely handy for trains and trams. Room was smoky, smelly and horrible. Room door didn't close properly. Internet did not work.
