The hotel/restaurant is family-run and everyone was very friendly and accommodating.The location is excellent for a quick connection to Brussels and beyond. The rooms are spacious, clean, the little things have been taken care of. Cannot recommend it highly enough for this price range. In truth I was confident I'd like the hotel from the reviews on this site. Proximity to the train station was key for me. Castel is ideally located. The gal who owns and runs it is first rate and runs a great restaurant there as well.

The position of the hotel is ideal for those people arriving by train asit is literally over the road from the station. Frequent trams run fromthe station into the centre of town. There is a supermarket next doorand several places to eat nearby. The hotel has its own restaurant butwe can't comment on that as we ate in town every time. Lack of duvets - sheet and blanket was warm enough and comfortable but quite surprising to find in 2008.poor WIFI internet. No lift. the elevator is missing. The restaurant was closed for renovation. The tramway line runs by and you can hear it. The internet connection is not available in all rooms. a man sitting during the brekfast and watching me.
