The hotel is hidden behind a nondescript facade, but on stepping in, you are greeted by the intimate lobby of what is a lovely boutique hotel with designer decor. I requested for a room with an extra bed and received a most gorgeous room with a loft on which a double bed was placed. (The extra bed was placed on the ground floor below the loft.) On the street and corner stand prostitutes, in the first time you can feel little bit unconfortable but next time its not a problem at all, specially if you are not traveling alone. Despite this it was save on the streets and hotel has good location 10-15min walking to turistic atractions and city center. Quite expensive parking places on the street during the day from 8am-6pm, but in the weekends its for free but you need spend qu. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room clean and well furnished. Truly excellent value for money. As for the neighborhood (at the edge of the red light district): we knew what to expect and it did not bother us (there was in fact little to be bothered about). This may well be one of the safest areas in Brussels. Moreover, the hotel is within 5-10 minutes walking distance of many of the cities highlights. We had booked 2 rooms which were placed in a building around the corner from the actual hotel entrance. Rooms were based in the basement but were nicely decorated clean and comfortable. Good beds, nice bathroom and the rooms were quite spacious with a little kitchenette and table/dining area. Location is within walking distance to city center (10 min). Also secure underground car parking is close by. I love the hotel because its clean and it looks like the one which you can see in their website. Staff was very helpful,eager to assist us with anything and very patient and upbeat. The area is great a 15min walk to the main square. We heard it was a dodgy area but was not too bad. Close to the Metro which was great. Central location - just round corner from metro or just a short walk to city. I felt safe walking around at night. We were upgraded to an apartment rather than just a room with ensuite. It was very luxurious and clean Staff are courteous and professional. Very nice room for the price. The area is abit dodgy but I guess it adds to the charm of the place. It would be awesome if the apartments were all in one building but it's no big deal. Maybe it's not ideal for families as it is located in a street with some "more than kind" girls, who are perhaps waiting for the "bus" on the sidewalk. constant noise from the street night and day generated by the prostitutes either negotiating with potential clients or squabbling with one another over "territory." We had cool weather, so we could close the windows. But when it is warm, and windows need to be open, you had better have noise-cancelling headphones. The police must be on the take because noise is prohibited after 22h. The owner has not paid much attention to providing certain extra facilities. Wifi is free but imagine there is no coffee or tea tray in room. That just shows poor effort on part of owner. Even the staff and manager concurred and stated that a little effort would have gone a long way. Also the wardrobes are broken , carpet could be replaced. And finally breakfast can be greatly improved. It was not at all thought of by the management. The area around is a little bit strange - many prostitutes,but they are not agressives. We return at the hotel at midnight and it was everything ok. As other reviewers have said, there are an awful lot of prostitutes in the area. The street outside the hotel was very noisy at night, as were the neighbours. The hotel had unpleasant smell. It is in a red light area. The sound of people in area in the night. The breakfast is very good but at the price of 10 euros per person I think it is quite expensive. Red light area, but still felt safe. There was a lot of noise in the hotel and you could here all the noise from the street because the windows were too thin. Bed settee's incredibly uncomfortable. No kettle or toaster in room. The location. At night, we've seen a lot of prostitutes near by. And even tho they are very polite and educated (nothing happened to us), it is still a bit scary. The area around the hotel wasn't the nicest. If you stay here, be prepared to see prostitutes on the surrounding street corners. They didn't bother us. Location was not safe. section of town. The location is bit of Walfridsson from city centre, and the street it's in is bit questionable. There is no elevator,but the staff helped to carry the bag. The street is not very nice, as there are prostitutes out there. Prostitution on the corner of the street. 'Ladies' on the street corner!. The stair space was to narrow. Hotel is surrounded by cerb crawlers or name it sexual street workers, but you did not get bothered by them. Would be great if the Hotel had some coffee or tea facilities in the room. An army of prostitutes prowling the streets. Those women need better working conditions. Shameful situation for the seat of the ep.
