I recently stayed in your hotel over the weekend of the 16/17th March. I was very impressed by the facilities and convenient location for the train station and market on Sunday. I was also impressed by one of your members of staff called Denise (who I believe is Dutch). As well as being very helpful, she also engaged in some small talk and made me feel very welcome. She is a credit to your organisation and an example of great customer service. I work for East Coast trains in the UK. We pride .
all reviews » The location of the hotel was excellent, just a mere 2 minute walk from Bruxelles Midi which gave easy access to the railway trains and metro. By metro, we could reach the city centre easily within 10 minutes. The room was extremely spacious, comfortable and clean. It was a luxurious and highly enjoyable stay. There was also a kettle and LCD TV in the room. We also enjoyed using the toiletries provided by the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors travelling to Brussels. If you are taking/ catching a train in or out of Brussels its fantastic because the hotel is just across the Brussels (Midi/ South) Station - 2 minutes away. Do not make a mistake with the Main/ North Station. From this Station you can take the metro to the city center or a train for E 7.80 to the airport, If you are planning to go around the city for a day, buy a 24 hour day ticket on the Metro for E 6 which enables you to take any metro train, tram or bus for 24 hours. This hotel is located right across the street from the train station, it's so convenient!! The staff are great, the rooms are very nice and comfortable. I loved the beds and the pillows. We stayed a couple of night and then left for 10 days to Italy. We didn't want to take all of our luggage to Italy so they stored 2 of our bags at no additional charge. When we returned our bags were just as we left them. GREAT GREAT experience. Overall experience was excellent - the room was very big, light, clean, nice (good style) and comfortable - price/value balance was really fair - staff was always helpful and friendly - free WiFi was extremely useful for us - tv had a lot international channels - location was very convenient (travelling with Eurostar train) - a little bit noise outside during the night but actually normal for a big city - we didn't test breakfast. Hotel is just outside the train and metro station. It's very easy to commute to all destinations in the city. Hotel is modern and nice, beds are comfortable and it is pretty clean. We didn't have any meals there so I can't rate the food. Stuff is generally good, although some trainee was little bit slow but that's understandable. It is for recommendation to all tourists visiting Brussels. The hotel is just great! Location, staff, service - everything is at the highest level. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful - they helped us on many different requests, i do not know how i wouls solve all my problems/issues without their assistance. It is located right across the Midi Station which is also great - you do not have to walk (as it is not safe outisde at all). There is very friendly staff. We paid a discount price but were not very vigilant: result - we found that breakfast for two cost an extra 30 euro. We were also misinformed by hotel staff and arrived for an early breakfast at 6.30am since we had an early morning flight, only to be told that no breakfasts are served before 7 at weekends, On the plus side, the reception staff were very kind and understanding and did what they could to remedy the situation. The fact that Breakfast wasn't included in the cost of the stay. Having paid for it though, we found it to be very good value for money so this is a minor gripe. The internet was pretty slow, couldn't even download a small app on my iPhone. Everything was nice. The bar was closed when we arrived (can't remember well, but it was somewhere around 10pm-ish). We wish we started off our trip with a glass of red wine. Nothing. The entrance was a bit confusing to find... I circled the block looking for the entrance on a rainy night -- after midnight. It wasn't safe and I wish I had found the entrance on the first go round. Once inside, it was lovely. Secret 5 euro 'city tax' per room we had to pay as we left. The "light switch keycard" did not work for opening the door, and accessing the elevator. Why not just 1 keycard that works with everyting?. I wish they had a family room for 4 people or 2 rooms that had an adjoining door, rather than having to reserve 2 separate rooms for a family of 4. Map on website needs to clarify which exit needed to leave Brussels Midi. Instructions on map confusing. Entrance is directly opposite exit, yet instructions don't imply this. Nothing. An excellent visit. Internet was very slow and not all devices were able to connect with wifi. Faster internet was more expensive than roaming for me. Access to the internet service was not as user friendly as it could be. The neighbourhood is awful. A friend of mine got mugged walking back to the hotel. If you are in a group you can walk safely enough but don't do that on your own. Nothing really apart from more coffee and tea supplies could have been available in room but more obtained from bar ! Breakfast was expensive. 15 mins talk from major tourist spots such as Grand Plaza. Although convenient being that close to a train station the surrounding area is not particularly pleasant. The people hanging around front area smoking. N.A. Even if is very clean i don't personally like the carpet in the room. Not the best neighborhood of bruxelles. We came too early and it was very cold but, that's not your fault. I think you need a larger sign on the actual hotel inside, across the court yard, we went at first into the office on the right side (labour exchange?). They had my booking under my colleagues name, even though I made the booking via letsbookhotel.com account. The service in the hotel restarant was lacking. Nothing.
