The staff was very friendly, unlike what we found with the train station staff who were very unfriendly. The concierge was always very friendly to us and helpful if we had questions. FRiendly satff- easy access to main station. friendliness of staff. There was a christmas market right down the street and the manager let us store our baggage even after checking out so we could walk the market without dragging our baggage around with us, also there were 2 train stations very close the metro and the airport shuttle.

At eur 5, breakfast was better value than another hotel nearby (andsimilar value to buying breakfast at Midi station) - there was orangejuice, cereal, tea / coffee, warm hard-boiled egg, and 3 bread / pastryitems (butter criossant, pain au chocolate and ordinary bread roll) witha selection of spreads. Most staff spoke good English. Hotel has a lift.Shower and washbasin in room.its my 3rd time at this hotel the proximity to the eurostar is great.there is building work going on in the area but it no great problem. clean, easy to reach, conveniently located, very good value for money, will stay there again. We liked that as students, there was a low cost hotel option which was completely satisfactory and fulfilled our needs prefectly. It was just what we had needed for a weekend visit to the city, the breakfast's were very good value too and we made sure we got up in the mornings in time to have them. But wouldrecommend the hotel apart from the noise, good for short stay, acrossthe road from Metro and Gare du Midi Eurostar railway station. Building work at rear but not the fault of hotel. the toilets beeing outside the room. I would recommend attention when walking around that area at night, as the neighborhood does not look safe. That said, during our stay, we had no problems at all. Make sure that if you ask for breakfast you get a voucher from reception you will need it in the breakfast room or you don't get served as I discovered. Breakfast is not set out in buffet style and you don't appear to get a choice of foods, but it looked like good value for 5 euros.Not the best neighboorhood. New structures being built on BOTH sides of hotel guarantee an early wake-up by the construction crews. Value price made up for discomforts. The room did not have the tea and coffee as stated in the adverts.Unfortunately the noise of the building work which started too early in the morning on the building adjacent ruined our stay. No need for an alarm clock!. The toilet cistern was always running and its location between building sites. very bad and dangerous district (midi station). The carpet in my room was spotted, had cigarette burns, and was generally disgusting looking. The room was tiny for the price and had minimum amenities. There was no shower curtain for the shower. Everything in the room was worn and tired-looking.Small bedroom with lack of space, no drawers, two lights not working, no hook for shower hose, had to request sufficient towels, noisy building works alongside hotel. Construction noise in the morning, leaking tap in bathroom. Overall fair value.Bad area of town, kind of seedy. a little bit to much noisy. a few towels for 2 persons. Cigarette burns in the bed linen.the flies!!!!!!!15 at least in the bedroom when i arrived!!. the staff had no interest whatsover in helping us with any questions or queries we had. Check if rooms have a window. Some rooms have just a very small window in the toilet, and no window at the room while other rooms have a window in the room, but oppening to a kind of chimney. Next to a building site that starts work before 0700, very noisy. Shower head broken in room, no efforts made to fix it as stayed two nights. shower is very small, towel is dirty, shower amenity is poor. I'll never use this hotel. The room I stayed in had one window going out to a kind of shaft, therewas no real view and it smelled a bit badly from the shaft.construction site beside the hotel, excessive noise from 7 o clock in the morning which was quite annoying. tooooooooooooo noisy. a little far from the city center. The area was a little bit dodgy. Not a problem for me, but maybe not toeveryones taste...The room and the bathroom was dirty. There wasn't any window, however it was really noisy. The surrounding of the hotel doesn't seem to be very safe.
