The Hotel Patritius is superb! We were delighted at the beautiful entrance with enormous candles either side of the Mews entrance, the wonderful Christmas decorations and the charm of the building and furnishings. The breakfast room was wonderful and the breakfasts very good indeed. The staff were charming and helpful and the situation of the hotel extremely convenient for everything in the town.

The hotel was charming and very clean (updated bathrooms too). There is a delightful garden in the back of the hotel and the atmosphere overall is very romantic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who want to stay in Bruges. It was a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The price for the room including a fabulous breakfast was excellent. We only had contact with the owners who staffed the front desk and served the breakfast and they were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend this hotel to friends and relatives. Everything. the hotel was excellent ,clean,spacious room tastefully decorated ,lovely presented breakfast in a beautifull dinning room.The owners were pleasant ,freindly and helpful .Ideally situated for all sightseeing in Bruges .Extemely caring and considerate manner exuded by the management - exceeding generosity in breakfast replenishment - a refined and genteel atmosphere pervades throughout. The garden view was gorgeous.The hotel was five star on service and the only reason it was not quite comparable with VFM on English hotels was that the pound was so weak against the euro. If I had paid £65 a night it would have been perceived as fantastic, and 18 months ago this is what it would have cost, however at nearly £120 a night it was good but I have stayed in 4 star in UK with breakfast and dinner for that. The hotel is beautiful, the decor grand, the room clean and spacious and the location was in a perfect location (back from the main bustle of the markt but only a 5-10 min walk away). The owners were very helpful with our needs and they were lovely to have a quick chat with. The breakfast was of a good variety and fresh, I would stay there again definitely.Breakfast was good! Shower facilities but we knew that they only had a bath with a shower wand before arriving.Charging for internet isn't really necessary nowadays, and is essential for flight check in etc. would have liked tea and cofee making facilities in the room. The only request we have is for a fixed shower head rather than a hand-held shower. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room but from what I have read this is unusual in Belgium as a whole. Perhaps a bit more variety of choice with regard to breakfast as the cooked option was limited to boiled or scrambled egg.The street outside was a bit noisey well into the night but it was a national holiday weekend. Would have liked a bigger bath towel but I didn't ask for one.Drink making facilities might have been good. No fan or a/c. Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
