The staff was very professional and helpful. Several requests we made due to our 1 year old child were met without complaint. The rooms were very spacious and the location was less than 10 minutes walk to the Burg and Markt. The hotel is very glamourous with a homely feel to it. The hotel staff were very pleasant and approachable. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was very central to the Burg and the Market square.

Its Location first and foremost .... Great location. The hotel looks nice and has a nice ambiance. We had problems with the heating system in the room but they were rectified once the problem was brought to the managements attention.Fixed menu at restaurant. No Tea and Coffee in the rooms. a little on the cold side at night. Central heating was a little too warm. No sleepers or tooth brush. quiet road outside, sounded busy early morning. It was very hot weather, so we did have all windows wide open. We were ok with this, but fans or air con, would mean you could shut the windows. This was only a minor point during an enjoyable stay.Breakfasts were basic, not very exciting eg. no fresh fruit. The hotel was not very busy, it being February and cold, the room could have been warmer on the second night but when requested the heating was turned up. Th distance from the overnight parking. Lack of conventional shower. we loved it all, except one thing. the noise from the street kept us up all night...loud voices and cars until after 3:30 AM. we were very displeased with the night of sleep as a result of this noise.we need the internet service. No car parking at hotel. we were up in the attic rooms, therefore did not enjoy the magnificant rooms as advertised on the website. The room was 2 single beds pushed together - a double bed would have been better. The room was very large and had sparse furnishings which gave it a rather spartan look. The room decor did not fit with the look of the lobby and breakfast are.The extra bed collapsed and damaged the wall - the legs dont lock out on the bed.Fortunately no damage to child! No tea or coffee making facilities. Didnt bother us but could be very irritating for some I would imagine. Price was high but this was Brugge in tourist season!. Thought it was a bit austere. The bedrooms need livening up a bit to make them feel more homely. A few pictures, plants etc. Room was austere for a four star.The bed did not have a proper duvet but only linen and a blanket. No tea making facilities, no shower, poor breakfast selection, very bland hotel, room was large but cold looking and sparce with no character. As it was Christmas would have expected a little more decoration, 1 tree in entrance.check-out time was a bit too early with 11.00 / breakfast only until 10.00 on a sunday morning/ either don't offer breakfast or until 12.00 !!!. there is no 24hs reception. The room was practically unheated and the answer given was that the thermostat switches the heating back over night, a feature unheard of in my lifetime experience with hotels. Given my pregnant wife and the time of year (February!) we were unimpressed. They did not warn us about mosquitoes. No tea/coffee making facilities.(We knew that though) Restaurant not open.There was no iron in the room, the linen seemed a bit worn out and the hotel provided only blankets, no comforters also it would be great to have had some body lotion or cream in the washroom. The Hotel Staff are very remote and appear totally uninterested..Parking was an issue as was the checking our procedure ..it does notpay should your timetable run outside of this Hotels set procedures..you will be made to wait .The receptionist was awfully blunt!!. The originally booked room was not clean, did not have a double bed and had a terrible view. Also the room was very empty and had an old tv set from the 90's so i asked for a replacement room. This room was cold and empty and cost more, the bathroom was bad because there is a lot of water spills making the whole floor wet forcing you to wear your shoes when going to toilet. and so on and so on.
