The noice from outside, but it was not extremely bad. they had free internet but just for email checking and no option of putting pictures on a CD or a memory stick. I heard rooms on the road side were very noisy. Small room, some distance from central city.The bedroom had a strong smell of cigar. Once I got there, I understood that the classification (star) system is different for pensions and hotels. If it were a hotel, Pension Excellence would be, problably, 2-star, at most, 3-star. The street nearby is very very noisy. I would recommend this hotel tofriends if they don't matter for noise.It seems that was a smell of old or not too much air.Onestly not quit like the pictures on the internet. But it was ok. Having a "street" side room proved to be a little noisy at night. However, with time we did adjust and were able to get a good nights sleep.It was alittle bit cold in room. some street-noise. The hotel is on Alser strasse, this is hectic street in the centre, so it's a little bit noisy, but no so much. the staff is not well informed. A little noisy because of the in-city location and the trams running thoroughout the night. The hotel needs to be up-graded. Adequate but certainly not four stars as advertised. Being able to walk to the sights was a big plus as parking is difficult in the city. Thehotel needs re-decorating and updatating. needs to be renovated. everything seems old. bedhead had a stain on it that looked like it had been there for years. the hotel is not within the walking distance from the centre, though has good transport connection. i asked for big bed. not tiny bed. and there is no way this place deserves 4 stars. to much noise from the street. Breakfast, Cleanliness of room. All of staff have an very bad attitude. I've already complained about shower room, because I couldn't use hot water from the shower well.But nobody care about this problem.
