Excellent, clean, comfortable and very quiet room for a very reasonable price. Very close to all terminals of Newark International. Unfortunately not enough time to check out pool. Certainly best place to stay if you need to be close to Newark Airport. Very quick check-in, despite arriving with a bus full of people from airport. I loved how clean the rooms were. Very nice hotel. I especially loved the bar/restaurant in the hotel. Had excellent service and the food was outstanding. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when we go back to Newark, NJ.

They had fantastic pillows and the location was great as it was so close to the airport. The staff was also very helpful. Perfect for an early departure or a late arrival. Online they have pictures of an elegant lobby and what seemed like a decent size room. The lobby was nice, but the room was bland and cramped. Local to Airport. Not clear from website instructions where the courtesy phone is to contact hotel to arrange pick up. (International travellers want to avoid mobile phone use - expensive!). Bit frustrating to wait for transport as you can see the Marriott across the parking lot! Would have happily walked but not sure how easy to cross lot on foot!. You do have to pay for wireless service in your hotel room. Would have been nice to be included in the price. Not strictly hotel's fault but, having arrived at midnight, had to call hotel twice to manage to find shuttle pick-up location at this unfamiliar airport. The decor felt rather dated and the bathroom was on the small side. It was all fine, no complaints. Nothing. $25 to park a car and $12+ for basic Internet. $8 per beer. Base room rate does not include myriad taxes so it ends up as an expensive stay. The lobby was being remodeled but that did not have a negative impact om my overall experience. Nothing ever things are good. kind of illogical to get there, no good routing from the arrivals. First you go down, then up per elevator, then to P4 (parking) where you can take an air train for 1 stop, then you take the shuttle that takes you all around it to the Marriott all the wile you see the Marriott literally across the street, you could walk there if there were signs to help you get there...!. Having to pay for wi-fi in the room - it was the only hotel we stayed at in three weeks of travel that didn't give free wi-fi in all rooms. Nothing. The service at the bar downstairs was some of the worst service I have ever had, anywhere. Our food order was forgotten, and then the bartender acted like it was our fault she didn't remember to put the order in. Also, she never checked in on us at all, leaving us to track her down ever time we needed anything. Also, the other bartender saw me spill me drink, looked right at me, and turned away to fold napkins. Atrocious service!. You depended on the hotel shuttle to go anywhere. no free wifi in room. My daughter logged onto wireless with her I-pod and we got charged for 24 hours for a 1 minutes logon when I got round to reading the small print. Why isn't it free most other hotels are... The beds were very uncomfortable. Getting a little dated. Room was ok. Carpets were a little dirt and rooms are small. Needs a price reduction to reflect the age of be hotel and the size of the rooms. No free Internet as most of the other hotels. Staff completely failed to assist when we worked on to receive a lost suitcase from the airline before our continued travel. The staff ignored all our information provided and even refused to accept to receive the actual bag when it was delivered to the hotel. We had to get up in the middle of the night (2 am) to wait for our suitcase. When the suitcase arrived we did find out that the hotel staff had lied to us and obviously did not care at all!. I had a meal in the restaurant which was absolutely horrible , rib eye and baked potato, the meat was not cooked well at all and didn't look appealing plus too grisly to cut or eat and the baked potato was very undercooked , I explained and was offered a pathetic 20 percent discount which I thought was embarrassing at the least for a hotel that offers 4 star accommodation, for that reason alone I would not feel comfortable using or recommending a Marriot hotel to anybody !! R.Alden. My trip was cut short because I was very uncomfortable with my family. This hotel is terrible for families. This was disappointed and I was hoping for more because of the high cost of the rooms. If you are a businessman looking to be close the the airport, then is the hotel for you. If you are looking for any amenities outside of the basic, you will be disappointed. My family was waken up by loud talking in the hall by the cleaning staff. Expensive. Did not appreciate the hotel staff after midnight being rude and raising her voice when I asked a simple question. If your not happy working somewhere I would think you should consider another line of work. Excessive noise from construction adjacent my suite.
