Everything, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel was beautiful and our room accommodations were perfect. The restaurants were perfectly priced and the food was delicious. We will definitely stay at the Golden Nugget in the future. Everything, first trip for the grand-daughters age 4 and 6. They loved it, the pool for them was jaw dropping, awesome. I have stayed at the GN ever since my first stay in the late 90's. I will always book my stay in LV at the Golden Nugget.
all reviews » The Tank pool with the water slide going through the shark tank was the main reason we stayed there and did not disappoint Reasonable price for Vega$. I was so impressed with the tower we stayed in this time, it was close to everything.. the tv in the bathroom was amazing. Never expected that. lol. Verity of restaurants, girls on the gambling tables, easy access to Fremont Street. Not far from the strip and northern Las Vegas. Location was brilliant, room was excellent, free parking was an added bonus. Mid-week deal was very good value. The Pool, the friendly Staff, the amenities and especially the Location = Best Place to Stay Downtown by Far. Loved the pool and the choices of food! The location with the free entertainment was great for our budget!. The Hotel and Casino are second to none. They have a fantastic pool area and the rooms were a great bargin. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The maid had a lovely smile with a wonderful attitude!. Swimming pool area kicks ass, excellent restaraunts, convininetly located right on the old Strip. The Golden Nugget has always been the classiest hotel/casino downtown and the room was great. Room was awesome! Everyone very friendly and helpful! Loved the atmosphere!. I liked the classy look of the place and the affordability of the place. Hotel was very affortable even though it looks more expensive. Great location, easy to find, easy to park and great pool. Great Vegas property at a great price and great location. My room was fantastic. clean and relaxing. Most all of it. the restaurants. Everything !. location. pool. the bell boys, Valet and check in staff were great. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the Nugget is a very central place to stay in the downtown area. We liked our room. We thought the staff was ok. Could have been a little more helpful. The shark tank was awesome. The rooms were nice sized and clean. Room was clean, updated. Cleanest hotel in downtown Las Vegas. Nice hotel,friendly staff.beautiful decoration. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. On Freemont , so very entertaining area. Rooms and some of staff. The bit where I checked out. Nothing. The only thing I did not like was you had to pay for coffee in your room. Leaving. Room had an awful smell but staff changed rooms quickly TV sound didn't work. A stronger light to read things and work under in the bedroom. $13 per day for wifi seemed excessive. I was told upon Check-in that I had Prepaid for my Stay & then found out when Checking Out that I had only paid for the 1st night. Also, my Debit Card was charged although I requested to charge my alternate Credit Card. Wish we could have afforded to stay longer. Check in process was alittle slow. Only had two peole chekcing in guest on a Friday night. The coffee maker wasn't free! They make a hell of a lot of money there so I thought that was a bit chintzy!!. The one thing that made me gamble at the other casinos was the terrible cocktail waitress service! I literally couldn't get a drink for half an hour, and when I told someone about it, they still couldn't get a waitress to come by. This happened more than once and it was really irritating, so I went to the other casinos and they had GREAT drink service. Keno. The swimming pool was always crowded. The slot machines were terrible - I don't see anybody winning - I put my $20 and in 1 minute it's gone - no chance to win their machines. Nothing at all. We'll be back again and again. A welcome change from the Strip which we also like. Quality and price of food at the Chinese restaurant Prices in the gift shop. Time the pool opened and VIP check-in was closed when we got there. Too much noise. Extra loud rock music in all public areas. Cannot converse. Terrible!. Didnt like the sewer smell in my suite. parking. loss of the coffee shop cafe. extra charge for wifi, drinks etc. No fridge in room. Maintainance was supposed to fix door but never showed up during our stay. Housekeeping didn't want to refill coffee. Wi-fi was very poor. the show booking staff were terrible and not interested in helping us at all, they were more interested in talking to each other than helping us out to find a show to go to, also the seating at the buffet was very slow and appeared to be a little unorganized. We wanted to go to the bar upstairs and they wouldn't let us up there because my husband had a cap on. We seen someone go up there with a hat on. The food was a little high in price. There did not seem to be a limit as to how many guests could enjoy the pool. It was extremely busy and not vety clean. The beds were not big enough. Difficult for a couple to sleep comfortably. Vip check in was not available as described. Hotel appeared to be under staffed for the amount of volume during our stay, 1.5 hours for room service. Reservations hard to get any any of the restaraunts. Alam clock woke us twice at night. Dirty sunbathing chair at the swimm pool. The fact that there were extra charges for everything. Ridiculous! The tv did not work right. There was no parking for guests. poor sound-proofing between the rooms. Check in took so long. Everything. Let's just say Oceans 11 it ain't. Charges for coffee in room and internet.
