Fantastic apartment in a great location, close to the main bars and shops etc. Someone came and met us at the apartment to show us around, how to use the heating, oven etc. The apartment had 3 bedrooms upstairs with 8 single beds then down a spiral staircase to the huge living space, kitchen and patio doors to an outside decking area. Brilliant stay, would highly recommend. There's new tram line being installed outside the building. This wasn't an issue for us as we walked to the apartment fro.
all reviews » The whole family fell in love with apartment from the moment we stepped into the foyer for our meet and greet upon arrival. Apartment was very spacious, high ceilings, large rooms and 1st class facilities including bath products in all bathrooms, Island bench,washing machine and dishwasher in Kitchen area. Complimentary Coffee, Tea, milk and sugar. Ideal location to town centre, only 10 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley railway station and bus stop to Ocean terminal (Royal Yacht Britannia) al. We liked everything, location and clean, warm, comfortable, spacious rooms( we have no time to use first floor :) garden, big kitchen, we have ejoyed our meals every day. Thanks a lot for bath products and tea, coffee, sugar and milk. I will come again, I loved this apartment. 1 min walk - bus station, 2 min walk tesco and big shopping mall, 5 min walk train station, 3 min walk Princess Street and 6 min walk to Edinburgh Castle - Great Location :) Thanks a lot to Wendy and Gary :). York Place Luxury Apartments are absolutely first class. We arrived out of hours on a Sunday to be greeted by a staff member who was only too happy to help us out. The apartment had been renovated to luxury standards and the spaciousness of the rooms was an absolute plus. They are situated in Edinburgh’s New Town, and everything is in easy walking distance. The apartment was gorgeous, staff were helpful and friendly. Location is fantastic and closer to the center of town than I realised and the apartment had the most stunning view of the city and across the forth. Everything you need is provided in the apartment, very clean, nice and warm overall great stay will definitely be returning! :). We really loved the apartment, It was spacious, warm and comfortable, beautifully furnished, wonderful views, Lots of little extras like luxury bath products also there was Tea, Coffee, Sugar & Milk which was great as we arrived late. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, they let us check in early, excellent communication, we were sent directions and greeted from our 10 minute walk from the station. Location was excellent, and although we had the ground floor flat and there were major road works outside this didn't disturb us, a handy Tesco was up the road, the staff were very helpful, and really would recommend this for fantastic value for money. I've always wanted to own a Georgian apartment and for a night we did! For a young family it was so much better than a cramped hotel room. Everything was great! I recommend to all. How centric it was and how spacious. the size, comfort & location ... nothing, it was all ace. None really. probably the occasional foot steps from people in apartment above could be heard through the floor. This is to be expected in multi storey dwellings. Road works associated with Edinburgh's new tram system was a bit of a hindrance. Edinburgh's nightmare tram works. Go by bus or train. No parking at Apartment. Car park fees extortionate. We liked everything. Nothing to fault. Good job. The road leading to the apartment was closed as there was construction activity for the Tram. We should have been informed about it. Internet did not work all throughout our stay of 3 nights though they did indicate that its been reset but it still didnt work. There are lots of stairs to the top flat. This is fine unless you struggle with stairs have lots of luggage. The wifi connection appeared to be rather slow. York place street is under construction, but it's not hotel's fault and they stop working after 5 - 6 p.m. The street in front is under massive construction for a tram system so you will have to walk and not drive to the front side of the building. Map it out on where to park before you go. Beds need to be changed - pretty worn out. But everything else was top-notch!!. Pity they hadn't finished the tram line outside! The Scottish Weather!. Everything was perfect. Construction work of the road next to the apartment although no noise was heard. Some light bulbs were burnt out. Minor things like squeaky floor upstairs, and sounds of the toilet fan were too loud. Nothing really to complaint, you cannot beat this price anywhere else. The only thing that was missing was a kitchen towel, but I'm very picky ;). can't find anything. Not a problem but there was quite a bit of noise from above apartments. It wasn't offensive though. Sofas were a tad on the smelly side, wear and tear I guess, but they should be cleaned or replaced now. nothing. all I needed were there except basic fork and spoon. Explained a £500 'fund freeze' policy which was not explained when booking the apartment. Brown handtowels and lack if cushions on sofas. That's it we loved our stay. Didn't find forks knifes and spoons. can be little bit noisy till tram work going on. nothing. Nothing. I didn'T like that we couldn'T stay longer. some mattresses too soft, and can be noisy with passers by/traffic. N/a. No remote control for TV No batteries or electrical supply cable for IPOD dock. Nothing. I couldn't work out how to turn the TV and I didn't received confirmation for my bed arrangements once I responded to their questions on this.
